Adding another 1st and 2nd, and some later picks would give them both quantity and enough extra picks to move around and target players.

Franchise defining? Chicago made three 1st round picks last year, starting at #7, along with two 2nd rounders. Well, they have two 1sts this year, including a borderline generational prospect, and four 2nd rounders. Guess which one is the franchise defining draft. They also have two 1sts and two 2nds the next 2 years.

The Flyers are a mile away from a contending roster. Their NHL talent is thin; their prospect pool is thin. Even if they made 3 1st round picks this year (with no 2nds), it sure as shit isn't franchise defining, though they'd like to think of it as such. Buffalo made three 1st round picks last year, after two the previous season (including #1), and multiple stars already on their roster. Columbus made three 1st round picks two years ago (and a couple bleh ones at that). That's also sort of the issue: you need to select the right players.

I've been wondering if Petersen exists so Ersson can max out his starts in the AHL. Team might be finished with the "Sandstrom As NHL Backup" experiment.

He looked really good in Chicago this last year but got hurt in playoffs . They think he might not be ready to start the college season on time .

I saw his older brother play for Brooks Bandits in the Centennial Cup about a month ago , but he is no where as good .

I mean Celebrini & Eiserman did some things production wise last year that is pushing pretty rare territory. Celebrini just topped Fantilli’s U17 season by a good bit in the USHL. Eiserman just had the most productive U17 season in US Program history only behind Jack Hughes.

It’s gonna be a pretty good year at the top next year even if it’s not as good as this year. They’re not McDavid (no one is) but I do think they have legit potential to be top 3-5 players in the entire league one day.
