I mean, yeah, you're going from two guys who produce offensively to someone who doesn't. Jeff Carter does absolutely nothing for this team at all other than him being that classic vet guy. He's been the complete shits this year.

Even if they retain the maximum amount, Carter isn't worth it, lol.
I said carter because hes el cheapo someone like that if it isnt him. Donny has no assets no picks and very little prospects.

Jeff carter incoming at last resort when all plans fail 3.59 fax last minute transaction signed by dubas and donny. No book it .
I would pass on Carter, his game has significantly declined the last 2 years. I would rather call up Merkulov.
One player that could really help us is Colton Scissons, love his game and his contract is really good.

We are not a Jeff Carter away from a Stanley Cup here. What a waste of resources to acquire that guy. Better to do nothing than that by a long stretch.
Need a center with experience I would like wennberg but on main boards they want like a 1st round pick because they will do retention. Forget that nonsense. 🤣

Don, buddy, we don't need any more Centers that are essentially worse than anyone we currently have. Lets just take a minute and relax, lol.

You get a center than will bump the current ones down a line, not push them up.

Would love to put geekie on the 3rd instead of him playing 2nd and sometimes 1st line minutes. Depth is a weapon come playoff time especially down the middle that's how you win cups.

Sure, but as our team is currently constructed it's not even remotely close to a move I'd consider making. Jeff Carter doesn't improve the Bruins.

Jeez I said carter types . Donny will do something like that. He won't sit still. Our weakness is down the middle. Hopefully he hits a homerun and gets wennberg for a 5th round pick and grez . Doubt it.

I'm curious where the cap space is coming from to acquire anyone lol. According to CF we currently have $57,500 in cap space. Our current pending UFA's and their cap hit....

DeBrusk - $4 million
Grzelcyk - $3.6 million
Forbort - $3 million
JVR - $1 million
Shattenkirk - $1 million
Heinen - $775k

I don't see Boston trading JVR, Shatty or Heinen. DeBrusk has value, but you're also not going to replace what you lose in trading him. Grz & Forbort have higher cap hits, but are they pieces that are going to net you quality assets to help now in the future? I don't know.

Steen is a guy that I think could be on the move. I believe that he's going to end up being a Group 6 UFA this summer.

Selling teams fanbases always want a first round pick for their yardsale fodder. Almost never get it.
Tale as old as time.

We do it here also...

Reading articles on TSN that says Bruins may need to trade Ullmark to make room to sign Swayman.Seriously I should have become a writer and write the truth instead of this made up crap. That TSN staff overseeing this article should be sent home without pay..

More than likely he stays unless someone overwhelms Sweeney but it wouldn't surprise me neither if this is his last start as a bruin. The writing on the wall. He's gone whether its now or this off-season, it all depends on who's available out-there and if Sweeney can get a deal done, before the deadline.

I think it makes perfect sense if some one comes into play where Sweeney needs cap space and he's received a decent offer for Linus, it would be a win-win, but Sweeney never lets anything out so its all speculation, but I think the possibility exist that he could get dealt by the deadline.
Depends if the teams asking are on his list.16 team list he can veto has to be respected.Until Swayman is signed this is a moot conversation because I can't see Sweeney cornering himself with Swayman reps knowing he has no goalie now ..
Would it shock anyone to see bussi moved?
Would surprise me with him being the guy who would backup Swayman.

Heard rumblings of Ullmark to NJ, but I have to imagine (or hope?) theres a huge huge return on that deal, if it happens.

Probably. What value does Bussi add to a trade? Is there a team out there that values a goalie with no NHL experience enough to make him a asset you trade? Assuming the Bruins are likely going to have to trade Ullmark at some point before next season, trading Bussi would mean they feel like there is a vet back-up that they can grab in FA to fill the void or that they think teams may be willing to trade a struggle low cap hit goalie to them.

Maybe they don’t trade ullmark at all
