I see Dundon as more of a Mark Cuban type at this point than Wolf of Wall Street. And even if not, I suspect the real estate development and gambling aspects will keep him occupied for the immediate future. Dundon selling is pretty low on my list of things to be worried about.
FWIW: Cuban just sold.

Gotta say, been watching a lot of Forsmark. Absolutely blown away he isn't a higher ranked prospect. Maybe the most underrated prospect.

I think you guys have an absolute gem if he figures it out completely.
I think both of the recent Swedish defender draftees could be gems for us. Forsmark is doing well in a top role. Im thinking we get him signed when next season is over and get him across the pond.

We could get him on a contract and pay the fee this year if he sparkles at prospect camp and wants to start his North American time.

With all the talk about Simashev, Reinbacher, Jiricek, etc having poor post draft records, I'm just surprised Forsmark isn't discussed more for being an absolute steal.

Now, I understand all of those defensemen are better prospects. But Forsmark is quietly just... really good. Hope he comes over next year and starts to work his way up

That is likely his issue. He is a lefty and not putting up a ton of points. He is just solid. That isn’t a bad thing but people take less notice of solid.

He could be a different version of the Forsling situation.

When I have read things from Yorke in the past, he has said we talk to our prospects regularly to give them feedback. He has mentioned “we” have been talking to the Russian prospects before. I would imagine we talk to most of them.
Is the “we” still Samsanov or am I behind on this.

Jackson Blake still putting up points in waves. He put up 1 G and 3As against #4 Denver in 2 games this past weekend. He has 9 points in his last 5 and 34 in 26 games overall.

He is D+3 so his clock is ticking.
I think he’s someone they may have signed this year if we had a team. I think he’s an automatic signing this year and we have nothing to worry about. Our biggest issue with Nadeau, Blake and Fus is they’re all small. I think all three have a shot at making it but I don’t know that it helps us win a cup if all three do.

If they can adapt their game to play defense, like Jarvis, another little guy, they can fit, no problem. That's the question. Thing is, though, if they prove they belong in the league but not the Canes at some stage, that's what the trade market is for.

Cuban "partially" sold as he still owns a portion of the team and he will run the basketball operations.

The reason he sold the majority interest though, is because of the exact reasons surmised above that Dundon won't. Cuban came right out and said he didn't want to deal with the real estate/gambling aspect and thus sold to a Casino group who are experts in that. The landscape has changed since Cuban bought the team. Media deals are changing. Media companies are struggling (Diamond/Bally). Alternative revenue streams are key to growth so real-estate and gambling are big parts of it so Cuban sold majority interest to people who are experts in that.

That's not to say Dundon will follow in Cuban's footsteps though. He may want to be the key cog in that infrastructure growth.

Also adding a poll before I start the voting on Saturday, mostly just want to know if we want to vote on #1 or just get the formality over with and start debating guys like Nadeau vs Pono vs Morrow for #2. FWIW if the vote is anywhere close I'll start with the voting for #1, but I'm prettymuch expecting it to be overwhelming.

is he even with the team anymore? Mind you I definitely liked us having him onboard, we were doing pretty damn good with forward development with him.

He’s not listed in our staff directory anymore but I don’t remember ever hearing anything about him leaving.

The Bradley/Elliot/Nadeau/Cadeau thing has gotten intertwined in my head to the point that is a 50/50 shot of assigning the right two names to the right player whenever I speak or type.
shows you how much attention I've been paying to CBB with my team in absolute shambles this year, holy hell that's confusing.

I think we can slot in Nikishin as #1 and save time moving on to #2.

Maybe this is what you’re already going for but if he ends up being really good then Cadeau would be a good nickname. It means “gift” in French. Getting a good player at the end of the first would certainly be a gift.

@Joe McGrath @Gocanes0506 (didn't quote your posts) re: Samsonov

I remember reading this summer where he said he won't be returning to Carolina, so the is no longer with the Canes

EDIT: A quick google search came up with this.
