I think it’s relative to our draft position and have guys that are star capable. Thats pretty good drafting. We have a lot of guys who are nhl capable and again thats really good based on our drafting positionIt's interesting he has a very high opinion of our prospects while also saying we don't have anyone who projects to be a star, including Nikishin.
It could just be your perceived definition of “star” vs his. If Nikishin comes over and is the next Skjei, we hit a grand slam. But his definition of “star” may be Makar, which Nikishin will never be.It's interesting he has a very high opinion of our prospects while also saying we don't have anyone who projects to be a star, including Nikishin.
If he was Brady Skjei, but with the ability to crush unsuspecting opponents into the next stratosphere, then I'd consider that pretty damn good. Maybe even more overall effective than a Makar? Possibly. There's more to winning hockey games than pure offense. He brings it all and then some. Never been more excited for the arrival of a prospect. And all for a 3rd round pick.....just ridiculous. It could just be your perceived definition of “star” vs his. If Nikishin comes over and is the next Skjei, we hit a grand slam. I'm an optimist re: Nikishin thinking he will be more than Skjei. I expect he will offer similar or better offensive stats (he does have a rocket) + a strong/mean physical element that our defense doesn't currently have & makes the rest of the League beware. It could just be your perceived definition of “star” vs his. So...more of a Scott Stevens?I'm an optimist re: Nikishin thinking he will be more than Skjei. I expect he will offer similar or better offensive stats (he does have a rocket) + a strong/mean physical element that our defense doesn't currently have & makes the rest of the League beware.
Don’t be so sureBut his definition of “star” may be Makar, which Nikishin will never be.
Agreed, I’m honestly more excited about him than I was about Svech — who I was absolutely pumped about and in love with as a prospectIf he was Brady Skjei, but with the ability to crush unsuspecting opponents into the next stratosphere, then I'd consider that pretty damn good. They were pretty highly regarded the last year of Francis running the show.Being ranked 6th all things considered is pretty incredible. It doesn't guarantee anything but I remember prior to this regime, no pundit or guru or whatever ever had this team that high in the prospect rankings.
Well if he doesn’t sign with them maybe we give him a shot after keeping an eye on him through the preseason.
Figured he’d be back in Raleigh
still could be since teams stagger their development camp timing. I'm pretty sure that Tolchinsky attended at least one camp prior to ours back in the day.

It's just so Caulfield isn't the smallest guy in Montreal
Figured he’d be back in Raleigh
Montreal heard about a kid named Nadeau from Saint-Francois-de-Madawska and had to have the Quebecois.
