Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Pair of expiring contracts. Doubt you can get TOR to toss a 2nd in there (not only just because they don't have one in the next 3 drafts either).
Depends on which goalie we're giving up. If we're giving up Kahkonen, I'd want a 3rd on top of the 2nd. The 2nd at this point is to eat Kulak's extra two years. If it's Blackwood, I'd probably be okay with the 2nd but would want an extra 5th rounder.

Definitely think we should put in a claim for Bjornfot. Our defense is a literal wasteland past Ferraro, even if I do kinda like Okhotiuk, Addison, and Emberson a tiny bit. Wouldn’t hurt to see what this guy’s got.

I agree. And it's not like the Sharks don't have the spots. Simek and MacDonald come off the books after this season. I fully expect Vlasic to get bought out given how this season has gone. Ferraro and Rutta end up getting traded I think. The only other prospect knocking on the door is Muk (not counting Thrun who is already up). So you could easily keep Addison, Emberson, Okhotiuk, and Thrun on cheap 2-3 year deals, leave a few vets to eat up minutes (Benning, Burroughs), and add Bjornfot and Mukh. Sounds like a fun, young defense with no expectations.

As silly as this may seem, because I’ve certainly had my criticisms of him, that feels a little light for Mario. He’s really the only trade chip the Sharks have beyond some mediocre pending UFAs, and a mid-2nd in this weak-ass draft just doesn’t do much for me.How about that 2nd+3rd for Ferraro offer?
I genuinely forgot Benning existed. Has he been injured or have I just been incredibly oblivious?

He was a good player for us last year. Ideally he is a third pairing d-man but he was decent for us last year playing middle pair minutes.Is he good? No. But he is a legitimate NHL player which is more than I can say for most of our team.

Bjornfot is young and all that but he doesn't really seem to have any plus abilities worth gambling on. Doesn't seem like he'd be worth burning a contract spot on

What kind of value can we get from the Pens for Barabanov. Get Karlsson his guy, bolster the Pens' depth, maybe get a 2nd back if we take a contract as well?
