They;'ll have some cap room next year for buyouts and oddles of room in 2025-26, so it's a matter of whether they want to spend $3.85M next year or spread it over two years at $1.67M. Makes more sense to free up cap room next season ($2.2M) b/c a little extra in 2025-26 won't be noticed.
