These two teams don't like each other that much

US gets a penalty but Fast should have gotten one earlier for Canada for hauling down a US player from behind.

Lacking discipline seems to be a Canadian trait this year, both here & at the Juniors.

The format regarding the teams in the top group got changed before last year. Four losing quarter-finalists will play for one spot in the top group for the next tournament.

A year ago Czechs lost to Japan in the first round and Russia beat Germany. Russia then beat Japan for the 5th spot, before the country was excluded so Japan got the spot.

Happens during the semi/medal games. It's essentially a mini tournament, one game elimination.
