lame is why are these games overlapping in the first place?

I don't have much skin in the game as I have to work and can't watch any of the quarters, but when it comes to any tourney the diehards generally want to be able to watch all the playoff games. Why take that away from people?

It is on a bonus online channel which is fair. Between us open ( a lot of Czech ladies today!) And USA is a dream team.

Itd be a historical moment for us. Might expose the silliness of the format too. I like Finn hockey and hate that they were robbed a few championship ago. But definitely watching and cheering for the Czech lionesses over the Finnish ones. If not .. i will be preying for a win over japan in placements

The score and the lead were lovely but that was pure domination by the US ladies... but I was proud of the effort for sure. I'd legit like the option of losing to Canada and US every round robin.. only way we can get better! Gives us more of a chance against Swiss, Japan and Finland (2 of which we are never allowed to play despite trying to catch them in rankings)

Czechs started like a house on fire.. some great chances so far and a PP. 0-0 still but nice Czech start. Finnish teams bend but don't break! Sapovalova is a shifty little player!

This very much has a 'first Finn shot' goes in feel right now... we are up 6-0 on shots with several good chances. Just watch.. first Finn shot and 1-0.

Since I'm talking about FInn ladies... I noticed a good looking girl on their bench which reminded me of their good looking Prime Minister/President. She got in shit for dancing on a day off from a leaked private video. f*** that! So many Male leaders do so much worse on their days off.

I'll post a video of myself dancing to stand with her later.haha

I'd do the same, but I'm wheelchair bound so it wouldn't make for much of a video. I'm also female anyway, so... um... defeating the purpose much?
 
Shots are now even... Czechs started stronger, now Finn's are stronger. The Finn's are good at setting up point shots and creating havoc from them.

Shots 9-8 and and an even period... Czech TV said we are only playing 3 lines mostly which might be too soon to shorten a bench.

I dont remember those old days when our senior team was nothing, but I remember those countless disappointments, final losses, quarter final losses etc. I have to say Im happy that things are a bit better now. But our womens team have been third(or fourth) as long as I can remember, for 30 years now and no progress seems to happen. Maybe in the future but right now things aren´t looking good.

@Czechboy has Czech Republic vs. Finland on. I'm watching the tail end of USA vs. Hungary. USA is up 11-1 with six and a half minutes left. Hungary just got their first goal ever against the USA in international play.

USA makes it 12-1.

I called it yesterday.. 2 blowouts and 2 good games. Swiss/Japan went to OT and this game looks to be close. Canada should win by at least 6 or so.
