WC: 2022 Women's World Championships

Did anyone see the Hungary goal? I know it means nothing in the game itself, but getting a goal against the Americans must've been a big moment for that club

Here we go!

Period 3 and a flying Finn with a beaut chance almost immediately... in fact, our goalie is stickless, on her back and rolling around.lol

Game speed has picked up considerably.. and it's all Finland. They are bringing it!!! Someone get out goalie an IV drip.. she is going to be busy. It looks like a Finn powerplay but is 5 on 5.

Inevitable... delayed penalty but Finn's scored on a beauty play and shot.

The Finn shot it through 3 Czechs and beat the goalie clean.. nice shot.

Czechs couldn't keep up with the new pace. I assume Finn's will slow down now but do question.. if they have that big an after burner.. maybe just keep it on.

shots and score are even... I still say an ugly goal wins it.
 
Its currently not even close.. Finn's are smoking us.. they didn't score but do get a PP ... had a breakaway too. Finn D keeps springing the forwards... they're playing great. We are not.
 
I'd say we killed the penalty but it was more like Finn's didn't score.

Call a TO! Get Peslarova a gatorade and find a way to get out of our end.lol

Holy shit... poor penatly by Finland (200 feet from net)... not the best call but somehow we get a PP.

The Finn powerplay was so much better than this... we can't gain the zone or possession.. Finn's are just flying!
 
Shots are 14-3 in the third... pure Finn dominance. Czechs good news is that all 3 shots (now 4) were good chances. Finns have been better in third, no question about it.

then 1-0 last time in the quarters
now 1-1

THIS is why you let the weaker nations play the stronger nations!!!!!!

Nah, the Czechs don't belong in this tournament and neither does Hungary. :sarcasm:

HUGE Finn mistake... and a gorgeous goal. I was wrong about an ugly goal (unless you count the brutal giveaway).

Czechs are in Semi's.. I cannot wait for that Bronze game!

In fairness... ugly giveaway and ugly goal... the shot was nice but Finn goalie had the angle and should've had it.

Finn's outplay us for the final 20 minutes and lose on a bad giveaway and poor goal. Bad luck.

Curious if Finn's have to do the placement thing or if they are automatically in Pool A next year (they should be, I just don't know the rules).
