Don't get me wrong Martinook the person is awesome and has embraced the city/team. Martinook the player however isn't what he was 4 years ago.

As long as he's not on the first line I guess I'll live.
As a character guy on the 4th line, spotting sometimes on 3rd line, I can't complain about the guy. But when he makes appearances in the top 6...f*** off Brindy...if you're looking to shake things up, that is almost NEVER going to work as a way to jump-start our offense

Just realized there’s about to be 3 games in 3 nights. Don’t give a shit if it’s preseason, it’s freakin hockey. Now let’s just hope there’s a stream available.

EDIT: Spoke too soon:

If Martinook were 600k-800k cheaper…

Hell Stantsy is making less than Martinook this year and Stantsy put up more points last season than Martinook has in the past three seasons combined.

Honestly, I do think he is probably a really great guy, obviously the organization values him on a personal level. And this FO has proven time and time again their ability to ice a competitive roster even given what I view as financial restraints.

This might be the most optimistic I’ve been about a season in a long time. Good mix of vets who are hungry for a championship and young guy’s who should be taking yet another step towards maturity as players. It’s going to be an exciting season for sure.

Nookie is all intangibles. What we need is players with tangibles

Speaking of which, she posted on Instagram for the 1st time in a long time and it sounded as if she's leaving town, unless I misinterpreted it.
Can't imagine there are any sports reporting jobs for her in the area anymore. Even without the, uh, incident, sports media people tend to move around a lot for jobs.
