NSU 18 Major playoff series are set :

#1 Halifax vs #8 SouthShore
#2 Dartmouth vs #7 Pictou
# 3 Valley vs #6 Cape Breton
# 4 Cole Harbour vs #5 Sydney

Should be a good playoff , I Hope Halifax and Cole Harbour meet in the semis Grade A talent vs Grade A talent with Kennedy, Fury from the Macs , and Peitzsche, Miller , Ramsey from the Wolfpack .

Fletcher is a 2004 and all ready signed as a free agent in Cape Breton I think. Ledrew is probably in the 6th to 8th round… Fullerton & Kaine from the Vito’s are also overagers that will get a look in the later rounds.

This is the way i view the draft, I love Daigle so much that im putting his 1st overall...I feel he is the best goaltending prospect the QMJHL has seen since guys like MA Fleury, Roberto Luongo, JS Giguere etc etc...this draft is a very strong draft...

Interesting listing.

Boisvert taking the american route, so won't be draft that high. I guess you put Leroux (n0t confirmed) lower for the exact same reason.

I think Fortier-Gendron his too low on your list

And I don't share your hype on those Magog's players. BTW you put one twice.

i had a feeling I was ranking Gendron too low...Boisvert i ranked high even though going NCAA hence he signed with the USHL for next year...Leroux i ranked low because i do not know enough about him yet.

Then why compose a list ….. to promote a few kids or perhaps one kid ( yours) and few friends. Quite obvious. Litalien has been talked about by many as a number one pick. Not in the top ten. Interesting to say the least.

im not sure what you are saying...then why compose a list? I just retired as a QMJHL scout since 2006 and i still see these players play as im doing part time scouting with a team, mostly as an advisor....so who am i hyping?

L'italian by the way is a strong power forward, but IMO has not put it all together...there are players who IMO passed him...if you think he still a 1st overall pick then your living in the past.

You just proved my point. Your list isn’t one that has been highly scouted and thoughtfully composed. It’s one you has made with an obvious bias, maybe to promote your advisors kids? . 6 of your top 13 kids are from NS …..has that ever happened since you’ve been scouting way back in 2006? Nope

Justin Poirier now have 33 goals in 33 games. I don't know if people realize how huge it is. Here are the best 15 years old goal scorers in Midget AAA last 20 years:

Anthony Beauvillier: 39 G / 41 GP
Alexis Lafrenière: 33 G / 36 GP
Joshua Roy : 38 G / 42 GP
Patrick Guay: 34 G / 39 GP

i think you got in the liquor cabinet by the way...you sound a bit off your rocker...have fun in the clouds with your thoughts....guess because something never happened before it could never happen...oh well, lets see your amazing well thought out, heavily scouted list, probably not has scouted as mine, go ahead though, i get videos from USA games that i watch since traveling not always the easiest during covid stuff, how much have you watched of everyone...i have seen 99% play on my list more than once....i do not mind having an adult discussion about my list, but a troll like you on here is not to a benefit to anyone...you want a discussion group but put down the guys and order i have them in and say i am promoting, one word, your delusional

My comment has nothing to do with your ranking. I'm just underlining the accomplishment.

Final ranking comes with team needs. You have 18 different lists on draft day. You can have yours too. I have no problem with that. CSR, Hockey Prospect, Neutral Zone will also provide their list.

Many many lists but only one draft!

when i first got with a QMJHL team to scout the first thing they said when the first CSR rankings came out was it was just there as a guide but has no relevance to our list...there would be questions if you had a guy ranked 3rd round and csr had him 1st round...but teams lists are so different from the CSR

Open forum ….. just pointing out the obvious bias. Obviously I struck a nerve …. I won’t be posting a list, I read these posts to see what others are thinking. Just saw an obvious flaw.

the only nerve you hit was saying that i am promoting which i would never do...that said this is one of the best years for Nova Scotia with top end talent, just because it has not happened in the past does not mean it will not every happen...also this is my list how i view the players, what teams x, y and z have are all different as well from one another...

Every NS player is too high the on the list. Top PEI player isn’t in the top 3 or 4 players from PEI. People keep getting fooled when watching players playing same age kids of rich /remortgage the house to send my average player to prep school players.

Bang on! Everyone asks to see lists then when someone posts their take on things a few individuals pick it apart... it happens every year! From a Maritime perspective @scoutman1 has the right guys in the top 40, hard to argue that. Are some guys too high... probably? Are some too low... likely! 18 teams have their own agenda and strategy come draft day. Not all teams will take the best player available and the best player available will not always be the right fit for every team. Peddle and Nadeau were likely the two best Atlantic Canadian prospects last year pre-draft and their future aspirations had a huge impact on how the draft played out. The same thing will happen this year.

The NS content here is high, no question. It will be a solid draft year for NS, but I don't quite have the same confidence as Scoutman on the first round for NS players. Miller at 7 is a long shot, I think he will drop to the 2nd round and of all the kids in the top 20 is the furthest away from playing in the Q next season. I see a little Jake Todd scenario happening here, although I do think Miller has more upside long term. Fury at 8 is a stretch, he will go high as per goalie standards, but not that hight. Personally, I have Kennedy above both Miller and Peitzsche form and overall hockey potential. Goalies will be interesting...assuming D-Aigle goes high and he will...you can expect more goalies to go in the top 2 rounds...it happens every year once a goalie comes off the board. Connor Arsenault I feel will be the biggest mover from Atlantic up your board....his 6.2 frame and speed will be hard to pass up, I still think he as the most upside of any forward who is currently playing U18 in Atlantic. List are great...just opinions...but great.

Yes I agree great list it’s good to see different opinions on here , but they are only opinions there’s no need to get ruffled feathers . On that note I agree Miller is ranked too high and to be above Peitzsche and Kennedy and also Phillips is absurd imo. I believe Peitzsche and Kennedy will both be top 10 , Phillips as well if he commits and does t use US route as leverage . On u18 upside u spoke about , Peitzsche is top guy for me , he makes whom every he plays with better look at millers stats this year they have played on same line all season the numbers are there. He’s big fast smart complete 200 ft player , logging big minutes in a u18 league and he just turned 15 in December .
Shields may also be a bit high just due to his size and physicality but don’t get me wrong he is a very gifted offensive player , he just lacks the defensive side of the game that may hurt a the next level.
As for Ramsay hes big , defence man putting
Up good numbers , but his big drawback his his skating and turnover ratio, I see him more of a 2-4 round guy if he doesn’t take the us route like his older brother .

I’d agree with your assessment of the NS players. Miller, peitzche furry Ramsay. I see peitzche similar to Luke patterson last year. Great numbers all the way through, hands hockey sense but a really unconventional stride….. hurt patterson will hurt peitzche.

Emphasize "BIG Minutes", Cole Harbour, more then any team I have seen. runs the S"&T out of their top guys....Miller / Peitz are getting a ton of ice...similar to what they did with Todd /McPhee last season...combine that with an overall weaker league then previous years and you have #'s that end up a little inflated. Arsenault plays the point on the PP, so I would say missed a few offesnive stats and to be honest...he is not surround by gifted IQ guys, Vito's are more crash and band then finesse.
Here's to hoping we see all in of them in round 1.
