So TB is planning on retooling after the current crop of older guys move on? Not sure if Cirelli is a true 2C and not sure if Sergachev is a true number one but they have the track record to get the benefit of the doubt.

They will have half of the roster on vacations before play off.

Cirelli's definitely a 2C. He's very very good. I don't think Serg is a 1. Maybe a 2

He's great defensively but still a bit borderline to me. If he can up the playmaking a bit then sure.

It's funny how much the Kotkaniemi move hurts this team's cup chances. Losing Trocheck really is a blow for the Hurricanes, and he's only getting $700,000 more than Kotkanoemi. They're going to have to utilize Kotkaniemi on the 2nd line, and I've seen no evidence he can handle this role.

Trocheck was a steal for Rags....

They're basically the same team next year just subtract Palat. Still a cup contender. Stamkos has 2 more years they will probably go for it. 2 Years from now they'll have 4.5 million to fill a lot of depth, that'll be the real start of their decline/collapse

I think there’s just a glut of players that we have. Johnsson goes, but you still have Holtz and Zetterlund battling to make the team.

Meh... he came in at the same cap hit as copp but 2 more years. It will be a great deal for years 1-2 tho. They lost copp vatrano and Strome and don’t have a lot of cap space to resign Kakko after signing halak

A 3C who can take faceoffs for us is great, granted he only has a year but Im sure we can retain him if need be.
