Not impressed by Ohgren and Lekkerimaki.

Ostlund looks good though.
The recrutes should modify their ranking as quick as possible, they are looking quite dumb right now. At least they have Slafkovsky at 1.

Lekkerimaki = Collberg

What exactly were you saying about his speed and trying to catch attackers? Sure his skating is clunky but he absolutely is not slow.

This is exactly my point, Jiricek has already turned up ice and in stride as the opposing player gathers the puck and lumbers up to speed.

Casual fans simply aren't able to notice these incredibly simple explanations and only focus on the tiny window that they are looking at. I don't know why you would post such an obviously terrible example. It is alot easier to find clips of Jiricek getting blown past and/or unable to close gaps on the back check.

His stride is very ugly but he does awkwardly generate some power so there is definitely some reason for optimism. Just don't try and convince me that the kid currently has average NHL speed because he does not.

I am not at all against drafting him in the top 5 but no way do I take him over Nemec.

Jiricek's shot in already NHL level. Very impressive. Seem a bit raw with his skating though. I like how aggressive he is. This guys wants to score on every shift. Such a difficult draft decision for us this year. I think my top 4, in order, would be Wright, Slaf, Jiricek and Nemec.

I’m not just looking at a tiny window. This is an example of him actually having good speed. You’re just ignoring it and creating a false narrative. You’re also ignoring every single scouting report out there that says he’s a good skater.

You probably said the samething of Wright last year. We have to be careful with u18. The level is well below and it's easier to shine than at the u20 or the World Cup or even CHL playoff.

You have never seen a real scouting report because the people that you are reading are not scouts. I know enough real scouts to know that the kid has some real flaws but they appear to be very fixable. His speed is sub par and if you are going to pretend that I am the only one saying that then you are indeed tuning into false narratives. It isn't like I don't think he is a very good prospect worthy of a top 5 pick......just that I am a better judge of skating ability than the fake scouts that you enjoy reading.

If you disagree that is fine, I am only sharing my opinion and I would be fine if the Habs end up taking him if we drop to 4th or 5th.

Googled “Under 18s” to try and find the schedule, and now I’m worried Chris Hansen is going to show up at my house.
There's a thread on this board, where I posted a schedule for today. There was also a GDT, so this thread doesn't get mucked up as one.

Everyone makes QF. Round robin games are just for seeding.

Round Robin games are today, tomorrow and Tuesday. 8:30 a.m, 9:30 a.m, 12:30 p.m. & 1:30 p.m.
