I'm curious about 2nd round dman that might turn into a weber, subban, romanov. We know the big names, but are there any guys you see that might have explosive growth? Any young draft eligible d that are flying under the radar for you?

I haven't followed jr. hockey like I use to since moving to Alberta, but I remember watching subban and thinking this kid is going to a star when he played for the belleville bulls.

Whoever we pick, even Wright, I hope they don’t throw in the NHL next year.

absolutely, we're a bubble team at best, let him develop his game a bit longer. I would rather struggle and end up with another top 10 pick. We're not winning any cups with our d.

My picks for now:
1 Wright
2 Cooley (hdb or db has Cooley at 5'11...he might end up 6'0 and 195-200lbs!! in a nutshell...not so worried about his height/weight).
3 Jiricek or Nemec
4 Nemec or Jiricek
5 Slaf
6 Nazar or Savoie (I'll give an edge to the one who can be a full-time CENTER, but we may not know this until 2023-2024 or 2025!?!)
7 Savoie or Kemell

If Columbus stays at 6 and 12...and our Habs end up picking 2nd or 3rd...would any of you trade our 2nd or 3rd overall for the 6th and 12th picks?
(6 and 12 can be one of Savoie/Nazar/Kemell/Lekkerimaki/Geekie....AND... one of Mateychuk/Gauthier/Lambert/McGroarty/Korchinski). And, maybe Columbus would ask for our late-1st, as well? (Hard to tell...and Habs may trade their late 1st and a 2nd to move up to a top 12-15 pick...maybe? Who knows? But, these are all possibilities).

Cooley at 5'11 (and may grow till 6'0!):

To the people that actually watch these prospects play, how high would you be comfortable to pick Dumais? Is he even going to be available at our 2nd round pick at this point?

His stats are becoming hard to ignore, but how many would be willing to pick him with CGY’s pick?

I don't think anyone is gonna pick him round 1 or early 2nd. Maybe mid 2nd but even then, he's not Debrincat.

Remember the names: Mats Lindgren, Sam Rinzel, Lian Bichsel, Mattias Havelid & Elias Pettersson.

Can't wait to read it. We've been writing the same 7 names in different orders for like 4 months now, let's get some spicy brews going.
Yeah, I'm more interested in who we take with Calgary's pick now or our early 2nd. Some interesting players should be there.

We could go: Wright, Kulich, D. Build depth at forward and continue to add D depth.

Plus, we have two 1st round picks in 2023. We absolutely need to trade Petry and get another 1st.

We will not get a 2023 unprotected first for petry, I’d be happy to get a recently drafted 1st rounder

I think we are all sleeping on Mattias Havelid.

He's exactly what we need to complete our D squad.

He's a first round talent. That's for sure

Im not that high on him, especially defensively, he gets trapped and overpowered.

Im much more a fan of Pettersson and Odelius.
