Habs have never picked in the top 10 with Carey Price playing in his prime.
Exact; did they not even go from record-breaking good to record-breaking bad one year he got injured? Edit - Price can keep a dud team in the 15-20 place by himself for sure.

They did but it also coincided with other terrible MB moves.

They've picked top 3 (Galchenyuk), top 3 (Kotkaniemi) and top 10 (Sergachev).

11-12 he played 65 games.
15-16 is the KK year where he was injured.
Played 49 games in the Sergachev year.

Tried the website for the first-time. Hesitated on the needs but at the end of the day picks are my choice so it doesn't really matter. I didn't make a single trade. Here's what I got. Pretty good but I strongly doubt we pick 14 times IRL.

1. Shane Wright, C
29. Tristan Luneau, RD
33. David Goyette, C
49. Danny Zhilkin, C
65. Otto Salin, RD
74. Fraser Minten, C
94. Jake Karabela, C
97. Filip Nordberg, LD
121. Michael Fisher, RD
124. Kirill Kudryavtsev, LD
129. Fabian Wagner, RW
161. Christian Kyrou, RD
193. Rodwin Dionicio, LD
214. Tyler Muszdik, G (weird name, Mush-dick, must have a skinny shaft and a large tip)

Went heavy on C and RD lol
How does that sim work? Kyrou at 161??

I'm not surprised he went 6th (read my report from 2019). I'm surprised that he's developed as fast and as far as he has. Nothing revisionist about it. Unless you want to say ''everyone thought he was in the same class of player as Dahlin.''
Dahlin has been a slight disappointment if anything, he was supposed to be what Makar is. Seider is exactly what I thought he’d be. He was already a stud at the WC before the draft, the fact he’s so good so quickly shouldn’t be a surprise.

I wouldn't mind to use a pick on one of Wright's teammates Lucas Edmonds.

He's an overager, but it's his first year in the OHL.. He's played in Sweden the last few years. This year in Kingston, he has 113 pts (34G, 79A).
I would't be surprise if they select him, his father his an agent working for Quartexx so Hughes probably know him very well

Nazar would be great if we managed to move down the draft.. but where we are picking its a no brainer to take Cooley ahead.
Is it really a no-brainer? I'd still pick Nazar at 4 over Cooley even though Nazar has a higher probability of being there at 7... If he's the better player i don't care about the rank.

Can't wait to see the u18s. Both should have monster tournaments, but I feel like Nazar has started to close the gap in mainstream publications. It's valid to have either one ahead imo, for different reasons, but they are closer than they were made out to be a couple months ago.

Below average goalie for years (safe last year's playoffs) and often injured : how does it increase MTL points by 20 ?
You got me looking at the gap from last place to 20th… OMG Detroit 19-20. 39 points in 71 games, -122 goals f/a and 20th place Winnipeg had 80 pts so that’s 41 pts spread 31st place to 20th! I might be under estimating haha

so you're telling us Seider having 50 pts in his rookie season at 21 yo is exactly what you expected and yet didn't rank him 1st oa in your personnal ranking you linked us?

Seider was a great prospect and I had him as the top D in the draft come draft day. The guy had clear standout tools and was impressive against men at the world championships. He went 6th overall. His play 3 years later in the NHL should not be a shock.
