If I was to nit pick Slaf's game, it's the area of him being a boy in a man's body and taking advantage of smaller players even in the Liiga men's league. This is an area I am always concerned about in the CHL cause it's a bigger factor in trying to project players potential but it still stands to some degree in the Liiga league.

I do like his shot and drive to the net with his edge work. Like any prospect, can we predict his hunger to get stronger and just bring it when he reaches the NHL? Or does he fade in he shadows cause the NHL has big boys that can skate and there is no other league like it.

For me it's Wright and then I huge debate between Cooley and Slaf. Picking 3rd would be a sweet spot with me and I just take whoever is left from them 3.

Honest and fair assessment of Jordan Dumais? What are we looking at here?

Smaller type forward who is performing very well in his age 17 season. Could end up a good one or someone who struggles against bigger players in the NHL.

Outside chance we take him with our early 2nd rounder or we get lucky and he is there with the Oilers 2nd. Personally, I think he goes in that range. Probably another Kidney type pick

He has really good stats. Almost 100 pts at 17 yo…. What is inpressing too, is he isnt surround by many 20 years old guy. Sometimes it’s easier to get points in CHL cause you have those overager around you. Wich is not the case here. Pretty interessting on that point of view

Not sure if the top 5 changes but there could be a lot of changes from 6-15 range after the U18's and CHL playoffs for sure. Very difficult to nail down after Wright, Cooley, Slaf... IMO.
I do think that after Wright, they can be changes. If David Jiricek plays at the WC and have a big tournament, he could probably move in the top 3 by exemple.

We are gonna see some modest movement for Nemec. His playoff performance has been too good.

Agreed on Jiricek. There's also the U18s which will rise some stocks as well.

But there isn't gonna be a ton of variance at the top end. Nazar probably the one guy who can make a big case for himself. Jiricek the other since his momentum was interrupted.

If we draft Cooley, I’d like to trade up for Gauthier. If we draft Slaf, I’d like to trade up for Lambert.

Would like to come out of the 1st with speedy center and a big talented winger.
If we end up with slafkovsky and lambert with our 2 first round picks, I'll never sin again

Lambert will explode if he plays for the blades next year. I'm sure of that.

Andrei Svechnikov // Mikko Rantanen. That's the only 2 players I see in Slafkovsky game.
Slafkovsky isn't even remotely similar to Rantanen. The only thing they really have in common is that both have a great shot, though Rantanen developed it later and also uses it more wisely.

Comparables are hard to find for Slaf's game, but this is pushing it. We're not even sure the guy has the profile be a good top-6 fwd, let alone comparing him to an All-Star and an established 1st liner.
