Has he made the team? I thought I ready he's on a short list of identified players who could play for Czechia but final roster hasn't been determined.

Final rosters are never complete til group stage round is finished. Teams can add NHL players right up to elimination games. There's only 2 groups, A & B. This year Great Britain, Italy & France have made it.

He's on the preliminary roster, which means he'll play in round robin games like Nemec did in Olympics. Rosters have to be finalized for elimination games.

TBH, they could probably build three different team canada roster that could all compete at the U18 level and have a decent chance to win it.

This guy screams #1 Dman. The poise, puck control, his ease at controlling the play from the blue line onwards. Sucks that he was injured at the WJC and did not play much this year because I believe he would have been a legit 1OA pick.

Yeah the more I watch him and read about him, he'd be a smart pick at #2. #3 would be Cooley.

Easy now. It was debatable whether he was in the top 5 picture EVEN BEFORE the injury.

Seems to be moving just fine. This should put some of the long term worries to rest. His knee wasn't completely f***ed .

Well I'm certainly ready to put him back ahead over Slafkovsky if he's healthy and showing no ill-effects.

A good WC could easily put him in the top 3, like it did with the OG and Slaf. The WC level of play will be way better and he's at a way more valuable position.

Thing I like about Jiricek is that he has that bull in a china shop style of play. He’s like young Ovie on defence. Every knob is cranked to 11.

I am under the impression that there is quite a drop behind these guys so maybe not this year ?

Cutter Gauthier or Pavel Mintyukov could easily sneak into top 7. Just hoping Sens don't get Gauthier.

Yurov would be in with that group if not for recent events causing the uncertainty of Russian players coming to NA.
