What a bang up job FitzCastron have done. The CBJ, Senzzz and dead in the water Rags all look like they can pass the Devils, along with Todd McLOSER in Detroit, who were also dead in the water. Lou's Isles may even finish right up our ass after these final 20 games of terror are over, as well as Torts and Philthy. It sure would be nice to have some real forward talent coming up through the drafts from all those picks we had. Chase Stillman should be quite helpful.
That lineup looks 13-14 Devils esque. Actually, it was 13-14 Devils-esque when Jack was in the lineup. It's looking more 14-15 Devils-esque without him,

You guys are nuts. Keefe is doing the right thing here. With how this roster is constructed, you have to ride a top line if you have one for 21 minutes or so in competitive games. It's your best chance. Period.
Should be Bratt-Hischier-Meier for the reasons I stated yesterday, but close enough. This should have already been tried as the top line months ago.

I honestly have an idea for a really good new avatar, but I bet it wouldn't fly on the mainboard or most boards due to language. Our mods over here are pretty liberal and fair in regards to language, but I can totally see getting popped for it over on the mainboard or maybe most of the forums on here.
However, I don't think it would offend anybody on any of the other forums, it would just contain an expletive. It would no doubt offend a few people over here (though probably not a whole lot at this point) and it is probably at least as controversial as the Blackwood one I made 2 years ago.
I might have to wait until later in the season and see where we're at before using it.

I'm not saying he'd make a difference and he's not even a scorer at the AHL level, but I wouldn't mind seeing Nathan Legare again, He added some speed, if nothing else.

Hischier and Bratt should 100% be playing together. Some of you are bitching just to bitch. It's honestly unacceptable Keefe hasn't given them ES time together this season (like 50 minutes so far). If you wanna argue Meier should go with Mercer, fine........but idk how in the hell anyone with eyes can be in favor of splitting Hischier and Bratt given the circumstances. The main gripe with the lineup is Keefe idiotically leaving Bratt on the powerplay right dot....complain about that.

The point I had made yesterday was that not putting Jack and Bratt on separate lines really being the only thing I can strongly hold over Keefe this year. I get how well they play together, but their skillsets are similar in a lot of ways that having one of them on two lines would likely only benefit the rest of the lineup.
In this situation, there's no alternative in my eyes. You should load up that top line and see if they can catch fire.

I'm super down and I'm almost certain the season is kaput, but to hell with it, at rock bottom, expectations are now at an all time low. Surprise me Devils. Maybe with less pressure now we see some surprises.

The season already looked over before the Jack injury.
This just may be the difference between just squeaking into a wild card and missing by quite a few points.
If we wouldn't have pissed away our entire margin for error in just 20-25 games we may be able to absorb something like this for 20 games.

Nonsense. You can't play one line enough to not have that depleted 2nd and 3rd line exposed. We are on the road, Dallas will get the matchups they want more frequently....it's stupid to put all your eggs in one basket. That first line will be easy to neutralize and there is nothing behind that line to make a dent.

I'm honestly elated this game is on ESPN+ with their broadcasters and I don't have to hear ours for one night.
Ours have been absolutely brutal for the last week or so. It's almost like they have Vince McMahon (or Blits/Fitz lol) yelling in their ear to say stupid shit just to soften the blow to the audience. Like talk about how this team has all the makings of a great young team, and that goalie is actually really good because he won the Stanley Cup 2 years ago. And this player had a 30 goal season 8 years ago, so you really have to watch out for someone as dangerous as him. And Haula won 3 faceoffs in a row before the one he lost that led to that PP goal against lol.
