That was literally known after the game ended.

Zach Wilson's Jet career is over and I can't say I'm shedding any tears for him. Fire Lafleur + get a new starting QB for 2023.

He's done in NY
I mean they could have salvaged something by picking Fields but they took the no-brainer decision away and left it to chance

Honestly I almost feel bad for the kid. His career is likely over in this league and he just got roasted by the crowd all night. He was awful, but damn that was tough to watch.

Screw him, entitled little prick he is…there’s a reason he’s getting bitched out on the field by his own receivers while they wear ‘bleeping Mike White’ tshirts and whoop it up for Streveler running over guys like he’s Taysom Hill

Fields sucks too, why are we arguing about between two mediocre/bad options. Every Jets fan wants the mediocre and then when we get it like 2015 Fitz we wonder why it doesn't work out. Wilson was the ceiling pick and it just didn't happen. The Jets tried, it's not a Geno/Darnold situation where you can somewhat argue that the Jets left them on an island with no help. They invested in the OL/WR's/RB's for Wilson and he imploded in their face. I better not see a Jimmy G/Andy Dalton/Derek Carr circus with Jets fans this offseason because that'll be the worst thing they could do. Reeks of the Colts desperation the past couple of years of having a good roster + awful QB play.

I feel like putting down $20 on Aaron Rodgers being the Jet QB next year, I wonder if there are odds for that somewhere lol

I don't understand why Saleh and the Jets went with Wilson over Flacco. With the season on the line. Flacco is at the end of his career but he could be 10 years retired and he'd probably still be a better option over Wilson.

Jimmy G or Carr is who I see on the Jets next year
I’d go with Carr in that scenario. I think Garrapolo is a fraud. The smallest hint of pressure and he throws the ball away. Care isn’t great but he’s tougher which will help with a team that will need to get over thr hump and lacks some confidence. Maybe GB will be ready to move Rodgers at the end of this season. Love is growing lichens at this point.

Flacco is horrendous, the dude had 2 snaps in Buffalo a couple of weeks back and didn't want anything to do with the game then proceeded to fumble the game away. And if I'm being honest, I don't blame him. He wasn't signed to go in every other week for Wilson stinking up the joint. He was just brought back injury insurance + be a mentor to Wilson which he's done.

Vomit inducing to both. I don't know what they'll do honestly but Douglas deserves one last crack at it before he's fired. I feel bad for Saleh because as a defensive coach he's held up his end of the bargain, reminds me a lot of Rex's days here.

I actually really like Lafleur and the offense the Jets installed. It's just the QB leading it is so so bad. I'd keep Lafleur. I can't imagine Wilson ever being active for the Jets again. I don't understand the cap ramifications of cutting him but they just can't have him even be the backup anymore.

He’s on a rookie contract, so there shouldn’t be major cap ramifications. Though they may keep him as a backup because he is cheap (but I even doubt that at this point)

I still believe the Giants have a real football team.
Minnesota come off to me as overachieving. They needed a last second 62 yard FG to beat the Giants and a similar tough win against a mediocre New Orleans. They just have the proverbial horseshoe up their butt. Kirk Cousins is still their QB. Losing a close road game to them is a sign if thr universe being out of balance more than the Giants being bad.

Nah dude, Lafleur is absolutely atrocious. The Minnesota ending closed the book on him for me, Wilson has its warts but Lafleur has not helped the QB's at all this year. The road Buffalo game he kept letting Mike White turn into prime steak in his rib area by having him take shots left and right by the Buffalo DL. I want a OC + QB for 2023.

What a wild day to be a giants fan yesterday. On kicks over 60 yards since 2018, kickers are 3/3 vs the giants and something like 2/15 vs the rest of the league. Despite all that, with Seattle losing as expected and the Lions surprisingly shitting the bed, the giants playoff odds went up to about 90%. Just need to win 1 of the next 2.

Brutal brutal second half from Tua after a tremendous first half.

I can't believe I let these guys trick me to thinking they were different this year

@Zajacs Bowl Cut Get ready for the Lamar bidding war with the Jets/Miami which he'll pick Miami like Tyreek did.
Nah Lamar won't be moved....they'll pay him.

Jets will have Jimmy G or Carr next year IMO

With the way NFL/NBA offseason are now, I wouldn't be surprised if Lamar holds out but he also had a pretty mediocre season by his standards after the first few weeks. Not sure what he'll do, tbh. As for the bolded, it was also gonna be your guy's offense who let you down, the defense is pretty solid but they're a bend don't break type imo. Still need one more rusher opposite Phillips and the secondary has been a patchwork with Byron hurt all year, X having a down year by his standards and the injuries there too. Kahou looks like a great find by Grier though.

they traded a 1st round pick for Bradley Chubb like 2 months ago lol

defense has driven me nuts this year, though they were good enough today
