they traded a 1st round pick for Bradley Chubb like 2 months ago lol

defense has driven me nuts this year, though they were good enough today
That #1 we lost because Ross can't help keeping his f***ing nose out of where it doesn't belong was a game changer in our long term plans, I do wonder if it wasn't taken away from us do we hold on to the one we traded Chubb for. Who has not been the acquisition we hoped he would be.

Let us pray for a Christmas miracle and Mike White’s ribs healing by next week. The fact the Jets still have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs is hysterical.

is it really 'legitimate' though? I Mean I know they have a shot, but they need a LOT of help

edit- 538 has them at 14% right now

They don’t actually need a lot of help, they need the Patriots to lose one game either against the Fish or at Buffalo. The Jets would then finish ahead of both the Pats and Fish with two wins and they’d be the 7 seed

The unrealistic part is thinking the Jets can actually win the two games at Seattle and at Miami, granted neither one is playing all that well at this point either. They pretty much need White back though.

Yep, and New England losing to Buffalo is certainly realistic.

If nothing else, it does at least provide some intrigue to the last game or two which we haven’t had in seven years lol.

that discounts the fact that the Jaguars/Titans division loser is still hanging around, and Pittsburgh as well technically. A lot going on.

though this year has been nuts so who knows what is going to happen. I cant believe the Dolphins are in this position given the start they had.

Let’s be clear, it all centers around the Jets taking care of their own business and that is certainly no guarantee. But I think we all figured we were dead in the water after Thursday night’s disaster.

We also have a tiebreaker on the Steelers having beaten them head to head I believe.

The Jets have the head to head tiebreaker with Pittsburgh…and there’s no way the AFC South division loser finishes higher than 8-9 or 8-8-1 since they’re both 7-8 and play each other the last week.

Sort of reminds me of Rex’s first year when they were all but eliminated after a late season home loss to Atlanta, even Rex figured as much in the postgame but the heavens opened up to give them another chance (Jamarcus Russell beating the Broncos for example).

If they win out, it's at like 70% I think. They're gonna beat Seattle and probably get sent to the moon like 2011 Jets season ended In Miami if I had to guess.

And then the Colts benched Peyton instead of going for an undefeated season and we snuck in, I'm getting 2009 vibes as well too tbh but I'm not sure if this team has the magic that one did. It would be incredible though.

You know what's just as hysterical?

The Carolina Panthers still having a legitimate chance to make the playoffs if they win out.

Why is that hysterical?

Sam Friggin' Darnold is the QB and has gone 3-1 since his return from injury.

Imagine the Jets missing the Playoffs while Sam makes it in. :help:
