My gut says he's only worth a 2nd right now. And maybe a late 1st at the deadline if he keeps up a 50 point pace
I think the 2nd is about right but Murray is a cap dump. So basically pick upgraded from a mid 2nd to a late 1st to give TOR cap space and a top 6 winger and open a spot for Woll. We get another first in a good draft.

id probably want an additional 3rd or 4th. If Barby is worth a 2nd, the Murray contract is probably a 1st as well knowing how much toronto needs cap room
Murray’s not nearly as bad as people say and I don’t think they need the cap that bad. They might throw in a prospect or two but no one good. Maybe we can throw in one of our LHD prospects or something and get back Robertson if they decide they want to give up on him..

Not enough Fs in your report card perhaps?

I think a lot of it is just column inches and hot takes for engagement. I've argued that it shouldn't be a points trophy in the past, and still believe the Norris should go to the best all-around defenseman instead of the best scorer from the back. I probably argued here that Vlasic should've gotten votes prior to ~2014-15.

But this is literally a performance we haven't seen in a generation, and anybody watching more than clips on YouTube from this Sharks season could tell you that Karlsson isn't just the straw that stirs the drink, he's the whole goddamn glass. Adam Fox, Cale Makar, Miro Heiskanen, Hampus Lindholm? All great players having great seasons. Karlsson is having a season that only five players in the history of the league have bested, and none of those guys are on the list. Arguing that he isn't the player who has "demonstrated the most all-round ability" because he's -21 on a team that's overall -82 is disingenuous at best.
But its not, it is every away broadcasts play by play guys that talk about how he is the worst defensemen in the league and it would go against the written description of the award.

This implies that both MEV and EK will be back. Id like to live In a reality where we shed MEV and acquire some prospects and/or picks for EK.
I am not sure Vlasic's comments imply he has any particular info about what GMMG will do. I still think EK65 gets sent with retention to somewhere he might have a better cup chance ala Burns (but hopefully with a better return)

Yeah, there's no way Vlasic has any special knowledge. It's just him whining for more playing time.

Devils fan who lives in SF coming in.

I think Sharks should sign Zetterlund to a 2 year deal worth around 1m/year or less. He showed some really good stuff playing with guys like Hischier and even scored with lesser players on the third line.

I could see it being a huge shock to him being traded away from all his friends. Bay Area isn’t too forgiving to new people right now. If you sign him with term and he rebounds, he could be worth a Tanner Jeannot type deal at the next deadline. He showed some potential with the Devils, even if he hasn’t with the Sharks.

I have to say, reading Quinn’s post-season interview - I really like the guy. I can’t tell if he’s a good coach exactly, but I think he’s actually a really good dude who is honest and open with his players. He has a real teacher quality to him and I know he has a reputation of being bad with young guys, but I really haven’t seen that here and I think he may actually be a pretty good guy to have for this particular Sharks team. Especially as we get even younger.

He turned Kevin Labanc into a halfway decent player again so there's that at least
