I’m glad you’re positive about next season, but I’m the opposite. I think next season is going to be more painful than this one.

Bordeleau and Robins are not ready for NHL. Their stint shows that. Eklund will be up but he won’t have much to work with outside of Hertl, Barabanov, and Couture (assuming Karlsson is moved).

Strum’s second half of the season was pretty brutal to be honest, and I can’t see Zetterlund bringing much to the team. Mukhamadullin will need some time to grow with the Cuda (which hasn’t got the best record for developing players).

Oh I think we’re going to be bad, don’t get me wrong. But I prefer to be bad and watch young guys than be bad and feel like we’re a hopeless zombie horse being dragged around by a couple of vets having a good season.

I also think Grier is going to be aggressive in the offseason, but that’s just me. He’s made several comments about this off-season being very important.

what is meant to be, will be. Attachment is the key to suffering. Acceptance is the key to gratitude. Leo Carlsson will be our pick and he will make the opposition suffer. They will be forced to accept his greatness and the whole NHL will look upon his Teal jersey with gratitude.

This is such a ridiculous post when I have, multiple times, told everyone we will get the 1st overall pick, so it is written, so it will be.

EK is no longer overpaid. He should get at least a Meier level of return.

I just don’t see why people are convinced he well suck after this season. He might not hit 100 points but he is not in his late 30’s, will be healthy going into the offseason, and the sharks should have better scoring depth up front. I think he will score at a similar pace next season and unless it is the 3 1sts that Grier asked for I think it is best to keep him so our your forwards can develop with an elite Dman feeding them the puck.
He’s still overpaid. Just definitely manageably overpaid now instead of grossly overpaid.

At least next season will be the bad season at the beginning of an upward swing as opposed to this season, which was the bad season/rock bottom of the downward side of things.

The thought of Anaheim or Chicago getting Bedard...no justice in this world
The best narrative outcome for the NHL is going to be Sharks and Ducks to get 1 and 2 so they can milk the Bedard v Fantilli conversation for the next 15 years.

Bedard going to Chicago would be a true injustice.

The NHL needs a Westcoast Crosby v Ovi and this is the best possible outcome.

Guys, why would Quinn play Hertl on the wing if he wasn’t expecting a top 6 center to come in next season?!?!

DONT YOU SEE WHAT’S GOING ON
Genuinely though, I’m so confused about the Hertl at wing thing. It’s not like we’re drowning in top-6 centers.

When I saw Hertl on the wing I thought it would be cool if Quinn was stacking a line to try and get EK65 to 100. No idea if that's what it was // how it worked out

Still who is a better center than Hertl on the team where if you were stack a line it’d make sense.

Couture? Probably not
Vlasic? Injured
