I’m glad you’re positive about next season, but I’m the opposite. I think next season is going to be more painful than this one.
Bordeleau and Robins are not ready for NHL. Their stint shows that. Eklund will be up but he won’t have much to work with outside of Hertl, Barabanov, and Couture (assuming Karlsson is moved).
Strum’s second half of the season was pretty brutal to be honest, and I can’t see Zetterlund bringing much to the team. Mukhamadullin will need some time to grow with the Cuda (which hasn’t got the best record for developing players).
Oh I think we’re going to be bad, don’t get me wrong. But I prefer to be bad and watch young guys than be bad and feel like we’re a hopeless zombie horse being dragged around by a couple of vets having a good season.
I also think Grier is going to be aggressive in the offseason, but that’s just me. He’s made several comments about this off-season being very important.
