I agree, even if he's on the top line for the Sharks, what does it do for him?Think it's a much better idea to have Eklund stay in the AHL the rest of the year instead of getting 8 minutes a night on a grinder team.
Gets him used to NHL play.I agree, even if he's on the top line for the Sharks, what does it do for him?
"So this is my life now. At least I did better than Dad."Gets him used to NHL play.
Sheng RT'd him on this one so it's probably happening I think. Makes sense since we don't have enough forwards even if we were to recall Kaut
Also this:
The "Please hammer, don't hertlund" line?Zetterlund - Hertl - Eklund could be an interesting line. Excited to see how it plays out.
This is my best post yet.The "Please hammer, don't hertlund" line?

Also this:
Hertl, Couture, Barabanov, Zetterlund, Johnsson, Gregor, Lorentz, Svechnikov, Sturm, Lindblom, Labanc, Kaut. They would have 12 if Kaut came up.
But instead Eklund is coming up.
Eklund-Hertl-Zetterlund, Johnsson-Couture-Barabanov, Gregor-Sturm-Svechnikov, Lindblom-Lorentz-Labanc
Update: It was beef stew. You're right about their chemistry. It seems like EK has guys he trusts more than others and I've noticed he seems to trust Barabanov (and Meier) more than others for playmaking. Would've been sweet for them to go to Edmonton because I think that would've helped them a lot more than the moves they made did.
I just hope Grier plans on cooking some Boston Clam Chowda in a few hours and not Beef Stew.
The problem with doing that here and taking Peterson out is that it takes one of the Stars’ most productive offensive players out of the lineup. Looking virtually at any advanced metric, Peterson isn’t a quality bottom-six forward; he’s one of the six best forwards on the Stars. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s graduated into “top-six talent” category yet, because the Stars’ top forwards (beyond the top line) have mostly all played in the middle-six category range, but Peterson has been one of the six best forwards on this team, this season.
It'd be perfect if it was Eyssimont instead of Labanc of LindblomShockingly I don’t hate this lineup? Pretty fast, hard working, etc. I mean only like 4 players can score but still!

I explained to my 7 year old what tanking/rebuilding is and he is fully onboard and is telling his friends as school that losing is a good thing.
????The "Please hammer, don't hertlund" line?
This is my best post yet.
I mean Labanc is actually fairly skilled, I think he should be on the third line but..
He's not good enough to have good top 6 production, but he's too one-dimensional to be anything other than a top 6 guy (unless with Thornton who basically was 2C lite that year). He's not a good skater, and although he has a decent shot, he doesn't have a quick release so he needs good players to get him the puck in good spots. Honestly he's one of the more frustrating players to watch I've seen because there's like 60% of a good player but the other 40% will always keep him from his potential.
