@HellOnIce its happening! Sharks don’t play the devils again this season.
They are playing VGK who Sharks don’t play again for a month so
Barlow is putting up some excellent numbers, but the key problem is: he's clearly not 17, dude's a 28 year old USHLer in disguise. You take that back lol, Barlow rules. Watch him put on a show at the top prospects game tomorrow![]()
All I’m hearing is less AHL time haha.Barlow is putting up some excellent numbers, but the key problem is: he's clearly not 17, dude's a 28 year old USHLer in disguise.

Meier to NJD has to be imminent, it just makes too much sense
I’d rather it get done, if it’s going to happen. I dislike this to no end.Meier to NJD has to be imminent, it just makes too much sense
Imminent is probably pushing it but here’s the lineup. I’d think they’re looking at the entire bottom 6 and Bahl.

I don’t think that AAV will be an issue.LOL
I actually think the trade is the easy part here. There's plenty of assets, I wonder if Grier has some familiarity with some of them from his days here as an Asst '18-'20 - but anyway - I imagine Tom and Grier have a good rapport and they can figure it out.
I think it's the figuring out where Meier's contract comes in with former Devil Conn Smythe Trophy Winner Claude Lemieuxthat's the harder part. I think the Devils have a structure in mind, they can go bonus heavy, I just think they'll want to keep that AAV somewhere between 8.5-9.

For all the hate Burke gets...it seems likely that he's better than Wilson Jr.Tim Burke? Get excited for the follow up tweets, “Meier for Miles Wood” and “it’s one for one”.
Wilson Jr. is irrelevant, why even bring him up unless it’s to carry water for some unnamed former poster around here?Low of what to expect:
1st and Sharangovich.
High of what to expect:
1st and Mercer.

Hardly that as the Wilsons decisions still plague the teamWilson Jr. is irrelevant, why even bring him up unless it’s to carry water for some unnamed former poster around here?
Burke is undeniably awful.
What Doug Wilson Jr. decision plagues the franchise? I never mentioned Sr. at all.Hardly that as the Wilsons decisions still plague the team
His 1st round draft misses. What Doug Wilson Jr. decision plagues the franchise? I never mentioned Sr. at all.
Wilson Jr. was the head of scouting from 2018-2021...of course, it has an impact on the team!Wilson Jr. is irrelevant, why even bring him up unless it’s to carry water for some unnamed former poster around here?

If you think that Ferraro, Kniazev, Hamaliuk, Bordeleau, and Robins is a bad group of second rounders over his tenure, you seriously need to check out other teams’ draft histories. His 2st round draft misses.
Mostly I doubt bring up Jr had anything to do with Hodge
I meant to type in 1st..Sorry about thatIf you think that Ferraro, Kniazev, Hamaliuk, Bordeleau, and Robins is a bad group of second rounders over his tenure, you seriously need to check out other teams’ draft histories.
In the same span, the lauded Lightning have chosen Alexander Volkov, Gabriel Fortier, Gage Goncalves, and Jack Finley in the second round.
The Leafs have picked Eemeli Rasanen, Sean Durzi, Roni Hirvonen, Nick Robertson, and Matthew Knies.
The Ducks have drafted Max Comtois, Antoine Morand, Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Jackson LaCombe, Sam Colangelo, and Olen Zellweger.
Three supposedly genius drafting teams and their lists are hardly better than Jr’s.
I’m not saying he’s irrelevant to the Sharks, but that he was irrelevant to the discussion we were having and that you have a history of “well, in <redacted>’s defense…”.Wilson Jr. was the head of scouting from 2018-2021...of course, it has an impact on the team!
Burke was poor between 2013-2016, and has always had problems identifying the (admittedly extremely rare) elite and star talent that are available outside of the very top of the first round.
Which 1st round pick did he blunder, or exactly? I hated the Wiesblatt pick, so you can have that one, but even if Merkley didn’t work out I stand by the pick at the time. Norris was obviously an excellent pick and Eklund looks like one as well. Guys picked from 15-30 have an approximately 33% chance of even making the NHL, so he performed adequately to expectations.I meant to type in 1st..Sorry about that
I’m not huge on Holtz, to be honest, but he’s still a good piece and probably one of the best prospects that would be reasonably moved for Timo.Holtz isnt playing at all which doesnt make me super confident in him. Mercer is a year younger and has clearly blown him by on the depth chart.
I’d be okay with Mercer. The thing is that he’s probably a bit safer but has a bit lower ceiling than Holtz. It’s kind of a toss up though.Holtz isnt playing at all which doesnt make me super confident in him. Mercer is a year younger and has clearly blown him by on the depth chart.
It's tough with that window because it takes time for players to develop.I’m not saying he’s irrelevant to the Sharks, but that he was irrelevant to the discussion we were having and that you have a history of “well, in <redacted>’s defense…”.
When was the last time a legitimate star came out of the middle or late rounds? Burke was a genius in the 2000’s when it was possible to get stars in the late rounds because of lack of exposure and poor prioritization of skills. Seriously, name me a three guys drafted in the third round or later in the last six years who are even close to being stars, and I’ll concede your point.
You know what I'm going to say; I raise an eyebrow when people "defend picks at the time" but also "defend how picks turn out". It's playing tennis without the net.Which 1st round pick did he blunder, or exactly?
