think some of you are over analyzing this...but Markstrom stole it and Sutter had his team playing heavy in the 3rd. Probably the same strategy he used against Tmac in 2014.

Kaliyev just being incredibly misused....his skill is apparent every time he takes a shift. They should have better effort to acclimate him as top 9 player throughout the season instead of the veteran players boys club.

What did Tmac say about Danault?
He said 'the danault line' was not getting it done so he mixed it up (paraphrase)

Exactly, have they no shame?????
Personally I think Korpisalo played better than Markstrom. The Flames were putting some good shots on Korpi, with his d-coverage letting him down more than a couple times. The Kings shooters shot selection was below average tonight. In other words I think the Kings made Markstrom looked better than he has played all season.

Watching the replay of the game, that was a rough night for Edler, first goal aside, he looked so damn slow and moved at a snail’s pace. He makes the likes of Robyn Regehr and Jeff Schultz look like Paul Coffey.

Edler stood out in a bad way in last year’s playoffs, and I fear that he will be badly exposed yet again by Edmonton. His old legs just can’t keep up with their pace.

Dammit, and they just sent Spence back down. Oof....looks like it's gonna be a first round exit if it's gonna be Edler/Durzi.

Alright, I'm for trading Arvy since Kings not going anywhere with that D pairing lol

Vilard should be back in the third line and hopefully Vilardi goes back to it soon as well.

Sort of saw this coming. Early bad penalty, followed by the lucky pp goal that went off edlars neck and right to the shooter. 2nd goal more luck after a brutal turnerover by Kupari, then by Grundy caused a 2 on 1 . VA took a beating tonight. surprised there wasn't a boarding call when he was shoved into them halfway through the 2nd, then Kadari got a good crosscheck to his neck at the end of the 3rd. Overall, they just weren't that sharp, especially with their passing. Markstrum stole this especially in the 2nd. 5 grade A chances at point blank range he stopped. You'd think after the first 2 they'd stop shooting glove side. On to EDM.

Can you explain what I'm looking at? I'm guessing the more the lines are to the right, the better you are?
Something like that. The darker blue is my favorite cause it reminds me of the navy courdory pants I had to wear back in Catholic school and those were indestructible. I could get those covered in mud and Mom never got mad.

But if it points left, then ya...sort of screwed. I'll add to the drama and say we should trade all players pointing heavier left. We should money ball it and say we can find cheaper players using advanced stats where the Royal Blue is concerned. Except Danault, reminds me too much of Deadmarsh. He has an other stat available since his number doesn't even go past the zero point on the graph. I respect that as our 2nd line.

Korpi also made a ton of fantastic saves, also keep in mind the Flames had 3 goals called back.
Hoping we resign him...or maybe use those boards from intermission that fans shoot at from the redline with the small hole in the middle to win a car between periods if we can't because really that's the type of goalie we need.

Meh, streaks end.

Anyone who saw the Blues game saw this coming. Sloppy and bad attention to detail. Got away with it for weeks vs. non playoff teams, have to sharpen up now.

I said it back in like December but now that the playoffs are coming up and TM has determined that on-ice results don't matter, Edler is going to lose us a playoff series. I said Edler-Walker back then, but Durzi fits the same unfortunate fate. He's this year's AA, TM's inability to not control deployment is going to find Edler-Durzi vs. McDrai repeatedly, completely invalidating whatever happens the other 75% of the game.

This is super true- anyone not seeing the possibility of this playing out is fooling themselves. Your Edmonton or Vegas at home in a pivotal playoff game and see Durzi/Edler as a pairing...throw out your freshest scoring line every time.

updated average points per 60....Keep this in mind when Vilardi wasnt playing as to who got to replace him on that line and on the pp.

PK has really dropped in the last 5 games giving up at least 1 per game. Only one of those teams is above 20 pct.
6 GA in the last 16 pk's . That November type stats.

what....losing by 1 goal to a hot goalie who made 5-6 point blank saves?
and let's not forget the role that this thread played in last night's loss

But, it's also good to get a loss out of the way and hopefully start another streak
