It isn't that the Kings lost, it is how they lost. There wasn't a good enough effort on their part and they were very sloppy on top of that. If the effort is there and they are playing hard and loose that is just the way it goes at times but to loose with this type of play is just not acceptable.

Line blender is not really adjusting. It’s more of a momentum tool. Whenever sutter shut it down it was game over and Todd couldn’t overcome that.

If Markstrom plays his normal shitty .890 game, Kings win 3-2 or 4-2..I guess you question if they tried to play more dump and chase and get more traffic - they didnt do that much.. the 4th line looked pretty good in the 3rd but otherwise the other lines werent getting anything going.

He did adjust - he moved Fiala off line 2 onto 3.. then gave him some shifts on the top line. I dont see this loss have anything to do with Koalitics. I will criticize the season long affection for Durzi and Edler.. the 3rd pair needs to be addressed and he is running out of time to try out Spence and Bjornfot or some other combos other than Walker/Durzi/Edler.

Dude he keeps putting Durzi/Edler out there. At all. That should be a fireable offense.

Created very little, lots of turnovers, and a lack of engagement. Not great by any measure.

Edler should not play another game....on the ice for both goals, as well as the controversial 'no goal' one too.
Durzi is not as big as a problem as Edler....at least Durzi had 7 blocked shots or more and is a catalyst on the offense. Walker should be in and Edler should sit the rest of the year. Not the best way to end your career, but cannot be out there anymore.

Todd scratched MacEwen. He was acquired to play the physical, grinding game with giving hits. Sutter out coached TMac. I'm not sure why you don't use the player you acquired to play this tight checking game tonight?

Sutter and the flames concocted a game plan that neutralized LA's normally good passing from top to bottom. That Fiala under those circumstances single-handedly created several chances that could have been the difference in a 1-goal game speaks to how good he is. I agree he was risky and got punished, but the rest of the team was punished the same way while not creating any chances for (outside the 4th line, which I thought was dangerous in their paltry TOI)

They definitely looked sloppy in the 3rd when they kept falling down and couldn’t control a puck to save their lives but im beginning a little conspiracy theory in a section of my brain to chalk it up to the zamboni driver was told not to do his job that well because even Calgary couldnt control a puck . It was weird .

However , they did have a ridiculous amount of high scoring opportunities and just ran into Markstrom stealing yet another game from us as he has once in a while over the years dating back to when he was with the Vancouver as well . I mean he did make some unbelievable saves especially in the 2nd and on Fiala twice .

Yup i feel better , ima chalk it up to bad ice conspiracy heck i counted about 6/7 falls and 8/9 blunders on passes even Kempe couldnt get normal shot off and Markstrom just being a f***in brick wall tonight .

Somebody that dvr’d the post game should have it. But i can remember it was a negative comment about his in game performance. It was nothing big. But players hate this for good reason.
