You keep bringing this point up, but are you even reading the posts?

Is

“After the whistle just skate up to McDavid and cross check him so hard in the jaw he is pulling carbon from his mouth”

“How do we keep letting McDavid beat us, how do we not just take him out so it stops happening”

“I don’t care if they retaliate, nobody we have is as good as him”

Those sound like comments not injuring people?

You do realize he is tagging me in this thread because he still thinks we should be going out and intentionally injuring McDavid, Eichel, MacKinnon and he thinks I am wrong for calling it stupid. So why are you continuing to say that’s not what these guys are saying?

They clearly are.

look i dont want players injured, but if you let that guy crosscheck you 4 times , and not do anything, he's going to keep doing it until you do it back at him. you can't just skate away and do nothing.

He's not wrong. Oilers will be given a plethora of PP's and that is the Kings weakest link. Kings played better against Vegas than they did against the Oilers during the season.
Does it really matter. Say the Kings play Vegas in the first round and happen to eliminate them, Who will the Kings play in the second round. Most Likely the Oilers. Oiler are playing really good and most likely will make it the conference finals and possibly the Cup finals. To be the best, you have to beat the best, so bring it.

There's more to it than that.

just limit their pp's. They win most games there.

We have to have Vilardi and Fiala back if we want to beat the Oilers. If neither or only one can go it's going to be a short series maybe six games. Goodness I want to beat the Oilers so bad.

It is no different than in real life. If you allow a bully to keep bullying you he or she will never stop. But if you fight back and knock that bully on rear real good, he won't mess with you again. If hockey players are afraid of getting hurt, then they should not be playing hockey.

Ok fine.

I just don’t know why you keep saying “nobody wants anyone injured” (2 straight GDT’s it’s been brought up) when that is exactly what Sol, OldandSlow and a few others want, to intentionally injure McDavid and MacKinnon types, and if Kopitar or Doughty get caught in the crossfire so be it.

Btw, players are injured by questionable hits all the time in the league, yet no other team goes out and Bobby Clarke’s anyone (Gretzky gave all the reasons why they doesn’t happen) yet people want the Kings to do it. Why? What makes the Kings different?

Yes. Because the Kings have injuries and need as much time as possible to let them heal before playing the best team.

McDavid recklessly boarded Anderson to get a payback from a previous game. I am sure the Kings players havent forgotten the McDavid board and might return the favor.

I just know the series thread and gdt is going to be a complete dumpster fire. Can’t wait.

It’s nice to see the team responding to cheap shots a little more than usual. I even saw some punches thrown! You just worry because the team is so small.

McDavid recklessly boarded Anderson to get a payback from a previous game. McDavid deserves the same respect as he gave Anderson.
I think McDavid just hit Anderson with a questionable hit that fell somewhere between a 2 minute and 5 minute penalty (could have gone either way). If he was trying to intentionally injure Mikey, why did he slow down before the point of contact? It wasn’t much different than the hit Turcotte threw on Forsling in Florida. Should the Panthers have gone after the Kings and cross checked them in the mouth after a whistle?

Dustin Brown threw hits like that for his entire career, did he deserve to be intentionally injured by the opposition?

Also on the McDavid hit, no way is the best player in the league going to intentionally injure another player and risk suspension while his team is in a heated playoff race. If the Oilers wanted to channel their inner Sol and deliberately injure Anderson they would not have used Connor McDavid.
