Kinda surprising that a select few get in their feelings when the talk of retribution comes up, but are no where to be seen when the Kings are getting injured.

Sure makes you wonder.

Yeah, I have virtually zero hope of the Kings beating the Oilers. The Oilers are quite literally the best team in hockey right now. They have a generational player putting up historic numbers. And they’ve apparently solved their goaltending.

I don’t know, man. I would love to beat them just because Canadian hockey fans are obnoxious and somehow dumber than Texas football fans. But I just don’t see many paths to victory other than Korpisalo going full Hasek and standing on his head or something.

I am looking forward to another summer of reminding the Three Wise Men that Rob Blake has still won zero playoff series as Kings GM.

You act like the Kings are the only team that have players get injured in game. Yet no other NHL teams are going out and intentionally injuring other teams best players. But you think that is the route the Kings should take.

It's extremely unfortunate that the Kings got the injury bug here late and drew the Edmonton team again. We can only hope for some overconfidence from the Oilers and some bounces.

It's almost like injuries happen in hockey, sure makes you wonder...

The law of averages is on our side at least. Edmonton has gone like 20 games without losing in regulation. So they’re mathematically due. Lol.

Yeah it’s just weird how when the game gets important down the stretch that the players start getting injured. Especially the good ones.

Funnily enough, can you explain to me how you know it’s not intentional? Was Zegras hacking away because the season is at its end. Did Kaliyev get boarded for no reason at all.

How do you claim to see intention? All I see is a pattern when the games get more meaningful and the best players are being targeted.

You should re-evaluate your position because your entire premise is based on nothing and there’s a pattern that I’m going off of here. Most of us see it, a select few of you don’t seem to mind it.

Yeah just weird coincidence that all of our injuries are happening in meaningful games. Weeeeird.

Playing MacEwen is pathetic. Its like saying, we are pansies and we'll take an AHL level talent to at least appear like we have someone who can throw and protect us... and its even sadder that he basically turtled in his only fight. And to keep playing him like he's going to make one shit of difference vs the Oilers. That's some real strategery there.

The Kings have been playing their worst hockey the last 3 weeks...the Oilers have been playing their best hockey the last 3 weeks.

Many things need to happen for the Kings to win this series.
1. take less penalties than the Oilers
2. Fiala and Vilardi healthy enough to play like they were 2 months ago
3. Korpisalo to steal at least 2 games
4. Fair officiating....not like the 1 game suspension for Nurse headbutt. That should have been 3 minimum
5. The Kings PP to convert. It's been abysmal of late
6. Any of 6 to 7 Kings playing the best hockey of their lives. I'd prefer all 20, but I'm reasonable.
7. '50-50' pucks acutally bounce '50-50' and not the bizarre '65'-35' bounces favorably to
the Oilers...like they do.
8. All Kings to play the most physical they can. QB needs to use full force in his hits.
9. Phil has been kind of meh. Phil needs to be Phil of 2021 playoffs.
10. Skinner needs to be solved.

Byfield is playing like the little brother you take to construction job and give him a 2 x 4 to pound nails in while you get real work done. He needs to make a contribution of any sort - and hits is something he can deliver. He def needs to step up.

Kings can beat Edmonton, but they have to stay out of the box
That would help but Kings offense really needs to show up, bad. Kempe, Fiala, Vilardi, Kopi need to go HAM....and to some degree Arvidsson and maybe Danault. If the Kings aren't scoring at least 4 goals, I don't think they're winning any games. McDavid/Draisaitl is gonna score one way or another, unless Korpisalo, or even Copley, go absolute head scratching beast mode.

Don't see the Kings winning any games with low scoring.

Bruh Stutzle hits 90 points and people use any positive metric they can to over look his four goals lol

Again,

Players throughout the league are injured on questionable hits from October through the end of the season, yet no other teams are going out and intentionally trying to injure players in retaliation, why should the Kings? What makes the Kings different? When Kings players in the past injured someone with a hit should others have been retaliated against? Should the Sharks have taken out Doughty in Game 5 of the 2014 series in response to the hits on Hertl (by Brown) and Vlasic (by Stoll). Just a few weeks ago Lizotte cross checked one of the best d-man in the league this season, next time we play the Jets should our best players expect to be cross checked in the mouth after the whistle?

If McDavid wanted to injure Anderson badly he wouldn't have slowed down, and it makes no sense for the Oilers to use McDavid as the one to do it. If the Oilers wanted to knock out Mikey Anderson why are they using McDavid? It was a 2 (maybe 5) minute board, and you are acting like it was Draper/Lemieux.

Yeah "most of us see it", then maybe someone else who claims to see it can answer any of the points I had, why are no other teams going Bobby Clarke/Valeri Kharlamov on other teams best players. It's just like the referees stuff, people complain the refs are biased against the Kings, but refs make crappy calls in all the games.

You should listen to the Gretzky interview on Spittin Chiclets when he says why NHL players don't target each other for injury.

Its a huge miss but a waste of energy to think about anymore. I just wonder when Byfield will decide he wants to actually help them win something. Check someone through the glass and act like you want to win... time to stop sucking your thumb with one do nothing shift after the other.

The Kings will lose because of lack of toughness, Lizotte as the 3c, and the pair of Durzi-Walker.

When the Oilers look at the Kings what will make them nervous?

When they look at the Wild, they will see a bunch of 20 goal scores, big and tough D, and Reaves and Foligno.
