These are human beings, with family’s at home. Nobody is doing this in the league, nobody goes out and intentionally injures the other teams best players because everyone knows what it means.

2 things stood out to me in this game. 1st the officiating crew let this game get way out of hand. They let dumb stuff happen and then players both sides lost their tempers.

2nd, Byfield has not learned how to attack the net to score goals and his shot placement is poor.

It’s just truly amazing to me that fans who spend so much time on an NHL messageboard apparently don’t watch any other NHL games. I watch games from 7 to 1 every day, there is not a team in the NHL that is intentionally targeting other teams best players with intent to injure cheap shots, but it doesn’t stop people on here from calling for it.

They will of course spin it that we don’t want any kind of toughness of any kind because we don’t want our best players (who are iconic franchise icons) to be caught in a stupid back and forth cheap shot game.
