That’s obviously the main one, but Frost deserved most improved.

Eh, Tippett went from 4th Line/Non-NHL Regular quality to a full blown 3rd Liner/Middle Sixer, I think he took a pretty massive jump.

Frost has been good, he never got a chance. Injuries forced the team to do the right thing against their will, finally.

That's actually not true, he was 42% at EV, 23% on the PP, but on this PP who is going to be close to average?

I don't know exactly how JFresh represents his graphs, but the "offence" line is clearly below the 25% threshold. Now, could "offence" on that graph be referring exclusively to PP? Possibly, but it seems unlikely, as it would just be called "Powerplay" at that point instead. I'd guess it's overall offence percentile.

I’m saying Frost should have won it based on their criteria.

Of course we know Frost was always this good, but they thought he was shit and only just went from a horrible, weak, defensively irresponsible, offensively inept turd, to a legitimately good player during this year. He did everything they asked of him and even forced the dinosaurs who were biased against him to recognize his play. If that’s not an award winning feat I don’t know what is.

These are both correct. You’re talking about different things. Deady is looking at the 3 year weighted averages. Freaky means this year. Both accurate statements.
