If Hayes is still on the team next season, you should do the honorable thing and retire from Flyers HFB. Pick another team/sport to be endlessly wrong about.Next year Hayes and JVR will be replaced by Couts and Atkinson
FizziksIt's Pennsylvania in the middle of winter. With the amount of static around, all players have potential.
Even for rebuilding, having players in their mid to late 20s is a good thing, b/c Laughton at 29 with 3 years left on his deal has real trade value, because the cap hit is manageable and you'd get him from 29-31.
Same with Provorov this summer if they want to trade him, two years left at age 27-28 is a valuable asset.
The problem with this team isn't that they're loaded with over 30 veterans, it's that they lack the 2-3 top players who'd push everyone else down to roles where they're better suited.
My apologies if this has been posted somewhere already
Why on earth would we be looking to trade for Meier at this juncture?
Trade premium assets for a player instead of signing the hometown kid at a likely discount.
God bless the Flyers.

They half admit there’s a problem & things need to be changed but they still keep around the people causing the problems.![]()
It'll be prefaced with "I think" so it's ok.If you're about to write a post explaining what this means for their overarching approach, please stop yourself unless you somehow know the guy personally. None of us have any idea.
I think I’m going to remain pessimistic. It'll be prefaced with "I think" so it's ok.
Could be a "be careful what you wish for."
Glad it's not Camillo, but it *is* Comcast who made the hire. I have trepidation.
He'll have the authority. What he decides to do and when, who knows. In the Flyers case, I assume he'll make an assessment after the season. You would have to think that since Comcast made the change, that person then can make changes below them to suit the needs of himself and the company.
