Watching the game on TV isn't really going to do anything either way. They already have their TV contract
The contract is paid, but TV viewership is used to calculate the value of advertising. Boycotting the televised games matters, as local companies won't advertise on Philly stations if there are no viewers, and the next TV contract won't be as big either. The Flyers don't care about winning, only money, so it's the only way to hurt them. No merch. No CenterIce. No watching on cable.

I had mentioned the other day that after todays game we play 9 games in the next 14 days and play 16 back to backs this year . Out of curiosity I went to the Jet's web site for comparison purposes .

Jets only have 9 back to backs and at no point have 9 games in 14 days , they have 8 in 14 at one point .

I am wondering if it's because we have basketball playing in the same site so our avaliable dates are way more limited . The AHL Moose also use the same arena as the Jets so who knows but Philly's schedule is the shits .

East teams have easier travel schedules hence the compact schedules at certain points.

I would use the last 15 games, starting in 12/7, b/c that's when JVR returned and Torts began playing three lines, with Allison replacing MacEwen on the third line 8 games ago. That's when players actually got a chance to develop some line chemistry.

xGF% 48.28 (21), xGF/60: 2.50 (19). Not great, not awful.
PP xGF/60: 4.74 (32)
PK xGA/60: 6.59 (4)

Now I'm interested in seeing how the second half works out, now that the team has some stability.

Oh I get that for the back to but it's the games played in short period of time that piss me off . If they are worried about player safety from injury point of view playing that much then they should start the season a week earlier instead of now talking about going to an 84 game schedule , but it's money money money . It's the NHLPA that needs to step in .

They're shooting 11% the last two weeks. Which would lead the league. When that normalizes a return to woe occurs.

Right now they're playing like the 20-22nd worst team. Which is above expectations and a substantial improvement over last season and the beginning of this season. Without reinforcements it's hard to imagine them playing much better.

They're going to come back down inevitably to that 25-30 range they belong in.

I like watching this team, more than any team the last decade other than 2019-20 or 2017-18.
They play fast, they play hard, and it's always an adventure.

Yes, they struggle to finish, and the defense sometimes resembles a Chinese fire drill, but they've been in almost every game, even the Toronto game they were even in possession and chances for the most part, but couldn't finish plays to save their lives.

The PP sucks but the PK has become very good and dangerous, think they're one off the league lead in SH goals.

And six of the nine starting forwards are 25 and under, as well as York on defense.
I'm looking forward to the end of the year and a chance to see some of their prospects.

Next year should be even younger and more interesting, JVR, Hayes and probably Provorov gone, maybe Laughton.

And yes, I'm waiting for Scott to be retired, Fletcher to be fired, the advisors to be gently put out to pasture.
I'm willing to give Briere a chance, he seems to have a rapport with Torts, hopefully he's on board with a rebuild, and can convince Scott's replacement.
