Stop, Seattle passed on quite a few good players that were being paid well, because they wanted to build through the draft. So Stop acting like they had no value, when in reality if there was anyone to blame its management and the coaching staff for the way the use and throw their players under the bus, the ball washing routine is getting a bit old, your jaws gotta be sore
They passed on these players b/c they were overpaid relative to their perceived talent, and thus couldn't be flipped for assets.

Last ten games (arbitrary, but a clue to who is picking up their game):
xGF% - xgFrel (SVA)

Allison 53.22% +11.95
Tippett 53.05% +11.23
Hayes 52.87% +8.20
JVR 49.61% +6.52
Laughton 47.30% +2.86
Cates 47.28% +2.97
Frost 45.46% +0.37
TK 44.10% -1.76
Brown 41.54% -5.00
Farabee 39.25% -8.22
Deslauriers 30.13% -17.27
MacEwen 29.85% -19.29

York 50.99% +8.64
Risto 49.52% +6.30
Provorov 45.80% +1.00
Sanheim 43.91% -2.05
Braun 43.07% -5.83
Seeler 41.95% -2.65
TDA 38.22% -6.20

Looks like Torts lit a fire under Hayes, and Risto is playing better than some want to give him credit for.

Ristolainen has 2 points in 31 games and the 2nd worst ES GF% of any Flyers dman despite being used as a #5.

His 5on5 GF% is the worst because that takes out some of the empty net GA that Provorov has been on the ice for at the end of games. Risto's 5on5 GA/60 is also the worst on the team, even though he's been sheltered from hard competition.

Easily the worst newly signed contract in the NHL.

Why didn’t they put Keith Jones in his broadcasting suit? That’s what he’s more memorable for.

Philadelphia Flyers
Top Objective: Everything on the Table
Scoop: The Flyers are a mess. They finished the 2022 calendar year with the worst record in the NHL. Moving forward, it stands to reason that every single potential trade scenario is on the table in terms of the future of the franchise. John Tortorella has continued to overtly hint at a lack of talent. The Flyers need futures, futures and more futures. After chasing patch jobs and trying to be competitive for decades, they are on the precipice of a very long rebuild road.

Frank had JvR on his recent top 25 trade list or whatever. He had Gostisbehere on it too, he made fun of the Flyers for trading what they did to get rid of them & now Arizona is gonna flip him for more assets.

They deserve to be criticized heavily for that. Chuck should be fired for that series of moves, let alone what else he did in an attempt to improve the defense over the last 2 seasons.

The 14th overall pick in 2021 plus Hagg (who was traded for the 187th overall in 2022) plus the ~39th overall in 2023 just to turn Ghost into Risto.

It's allegedly the only mistake Fletcher has ever made as Flyers GM , but it's a definitely a big one

Plus 5.5m crippled cap space for 5 years, plus whatever ghost gets at this deadline.

Incredibly costly move

Chuck will not drive a hard bargain. Sadly. Also how motivated is he to move him? I am not so sure I buy it completely. This was his big move. To all of a sudden switch gears is not very Chuck like.

Have to pick one.

How can one not love pumpkin pie. Sweet potato pie also very good. Amish down at booths corner have so much good pies and cakes.
My fav kind of pie is the one in front of me .
