That I'll agree with, Hextall was mediocre at best (though did a good job drafting after the 2nd rd, but that may be more about the scouts than Ron), Chuck is a step down from Hextall.

Holmgren - Hextall - Fletcher, like I said, a decade of ineptitude fueled by self-delusion.
Chuck is spinless. He is a follower. No balls to take a real approach to get this franchise back on track.

What orders will he give Danny when he steps down?

The entire league knows Fletcher is the easiest prey in the league, and the team will continue to be treated as such until he's gone completely.
unless Flutch is fired beforehand he is 100% gunna piss away that 23 1st. in some horrific trade to offload JVR or Hayes..

my guess is Hayes..

and its gunna be comical how bad he gets bent over..

Draft days: Here is a list of 18 shoot-first Wingers.

Okay, but how do you classify a shoot first draft eligible winger who will switch to being a shoot first college center who might still be a shoot first pro winger? Hmm? Where is your snark now!!!1!

@Captain Dave Poulin Do you think they could make a Korean reality show with this as the plot? He’s got the name for it.

Cliff notes for anyone not wanting to read this 21 page thread : Same as every other thread with the same ardent defense for this club while ignoring reality of how bad this team is.
there is a block button. If everyone uses it, then no one can hear them scream.

I'll be honest, I don't see this happening with Chuck in charge because that would mean he has to admit a mistake.
They need to keep Kevin playing so we can keep losing games!

Seravalli ripped Tortorella on his recent podcast for benching Hayes.
Given that they are not tanking, I think it’s a dumb move because it doesn’t help the team on the ice, it can only lower Hayes’ value, and it creates another gong show distraction.

Hayes and TK have similarly poor defensive numbers this season, so I won’t be surprised if the next fight Torts picks is with Konecny. He’s already benched him for a whole period.

That’s essentially the angle he was coming at.

Nah it’s on his latest one during the buy or sell thing they do.

He essentially found it pointless in the grand scheme of things & more hurtful than good long term for reasons @Curufinwe pointed out.

I 100% see angles against it, especially the notion that, if you wanna derive some trade value (ha!), benching the guy is gonna hurt.

But ultimately I want all these people to get exactly what they ordered. You wanted to pay Kevin Hayes $7m for 7 years? You wanted to get rid of the good players and fill the roster with shit? Then you wanted to bring in John Tortorella? Wow, what could possibly happen?

I hope it goes really well for everybody!!!! No one's gonna learn a lesson--not Hayes about his play, not Torts about his sanctimoniousness, not management about its bad decisions--but at least they all look great right now!!!!
