@ajgoal Just to add to what Magua said, think back to the Risto heat maps at the time of the trade. There was a blob of deep blue right in front of the net to the Goalie's right because he absolutely does help in that area. But everything else was red because it's all he can do well.

In essence, it's the same mistake the Flyers make over and over again. It's a skill shopping list, not a collection of the best players they can get. Big. Shoots well. Chemistry and clever deployment will solve all problems.

Listening to the new Snow the Goalie. So apparently Briere has a commitment with Team Canada for the Spengler Cup tournament overseas during the holidays. That’s pretty much why the haven’t made a move yet & why everybody keeps floating that end of the month time line for it to happen.

Apparently the organization is struggling on what to do exactly with Fletcher. The hockey people including Clarke want Fletcher to stay on as President. Scott really likes Fletcher too. He said business wise Comcast knows Chuck needs to go completely to win optics with the fanbase.

Therien shockingly said the entire front office needs to be canned even the people he likes personally that are alumni.

Risto still hasn’t been healthy scratched, right?
2 games i think...but yes he def. has been sat without injury

This isn't the only model that shows how bad he's been defensively.

The evolving hockey model has him as one of the worst defensive players in the league.
sounds like just another fantastic Flutch signing..

guy is batting 100... hahaahah

The one thing I do wonder with this is who is leaking to ASF.

What is the angle here for an organization that likes to ensure a country club atmosphere?

Also also. If there are indeed plans to replace Fletcher, why the hell was he allowed to give Sanheim that horseshit extension in season.

If the plans are indeed to go for an actual rebuild, is the thought that Provorov has more value than say Sanheim without 8 yr term?

Probably a scout or analytics guy who's frustrated that the powers that be won't listen to people who actually know anything.

That was a great extension, give the cap is set to start rising this or next summer.

It’s probably survival mode across the board within that organization. It’s becoming more prevalent of thought that the entire front office needs a cleansing. You have people like Therien even saying it now. If people like that are saying it who would have went ballistic at the thought of it a few years ago you know things are bad & it’s not gonna get better any time soon.

I need you to stop posting this stuff. It gets my hopes up when I know that in the end it's going to be more of the SOS.

Bullshit extension. What’s more valuable? Value of assets in a rebuild, or a known secondary commodity to further help offset a true commitment to high end picks?

A team it’s current position has no business locking up its cap space to more secondary shit, and it’s not that I actually dislike Sanheim.

There was zero need for the move, when he was a prime trade candidate along with Konecny who they will never have the balls to consider selling high on.

Hell, Therien probably pushes back on it in April. He's been a vigorous front office Cronyarchy apologist. It's a pretty drastic shift from wanting Clarke back in the chair to agreeing to a purge for someone like him.

So I see it is the same ole usual suspects stroking the Flyers brass "brass".

Apparently not giving away productive players with assets, spending cap space, trading off picks isn't helpful to improve your team's standing.

This club could land Connor McDavid part 2 and the same ole usual suspects would only blame McDavid for the team not winning.

The team is just starting to wake up to things we were all detecting five+ years ago. This level of thinking on guys like Sanheim is beyond them. They completely lack the flexibility.

But BEEF we were only 2 years away from competing 5 years ago! Also don't you remember the playoffs were they beat THE Montreal Canadiens who were SO close to winning the covid cup?
