He had Willman (who he played with in LHV) and Farabee, Cates had Tippett and MacEwen.
Just aren't enough good wingers to go around right now.
You could move Bellows up, he's a former 1st rd pick. :sarcasm:

And he is on average far, far more effective at center when he has even one skilled winger than Cates tends to be with two.

Worst forwards xGFrel (since battles for PT are between players on the roster, not players on other teams):

1st 10 games:
Bellows -16.52 (3g)
Frost -9.33
MacEwen -7.09
Cates -4.05
Tippett +3.54
Deslauriers +7.04
Laczynski +9.03 (7g)
Sedlak +9.61 (6g)

last 6 games:
Deslauriers -15.35
Farabee -13.45
Allison -7.64 (4g)
Bellows -6.51 (2g)
Tippett -2.07
Laczynski +0.74 (5g)
MacEwen +4.66
Cates +7.39
Frost +8.24
Sedlak +17.54

Deslauriers has fallen off a cliff, and I won't be surprised if he's benched once they have some healthy bodies.
Farabee is concerning, he's really struggled lately and was demoted to the 3rd line. Don't think he's 100% yet.
Allison was also struggling, which makes me think he was hurting even before he got injured
MacEwen, Cates and Frost have all upped their game recently, and I'd expect Frost to get more PT going forward.
Sedlak certainly has earned more shifts with better wingers than Deslauriers and Bellows.

And Brown goes right back in, as expected.

Roster lock.

Eh Bellows is nothing.

Make Brown the 4C, Sedlak 3C, Frost 2C, Cates goes to his actual position. Bring back Laczynski and let him and Brown trade spots, since we all knew Brown was a guaranteed fixture when healthy anyway. Let's get some semblance of a useful and rational development process going, as well as a more rational lineup.

It's just not as hard as this team always manages to make it.

Literally no one else on the planet thinks xGF in tiny sample sizes are useful expect you.
xGF is more useful than Corsi or +/- in small samples.

xGFrel gives a sense of which players are doing a better job than their teammates, limited, but the change from the first ten games over the last six for some players does raise eyebrows - the smaller the sample, the larger the S.D., but some of those changes are huge in magnitude, which suggests that they may be significant.

Brown, MacEwan, Deslauriers, and Willman all in the line up, and waiver claims Bellows and Sedlak on the roster, while Wade and Tanner are in the AHL. They can't even get into the lineup with a bunch of injuries on the roster.

Not to mention Zamula sitting in the box and York in the AHL while Seeler plays every game and Fisto still plays despite being horrid even by his standards.

The kids will play alright.

Yeah, you really showed all those people using +/- in a small sample size.

Laczynski, not Bellows.

We now are without Couts, Atkinson, JVR and Allison.
I'd like to see them shutdown Farabee for a little while, but don't think that's an option.

Calling all Mods, I once again ask why I am subjected to seeing replies to posts from accounts I have on my ignore list? It makes the ignore list pretty much pointless.
100% this. It's so annoying having to screen out replies to the obvious trolls. How hard would it be to have an option to not see post that contain @theusualidiots
