15th means we're average.

When we account that we don't make a lot of shots on net in the first place, the shots/shots-that-hit-post ratio is more impressive tho

If this team took more shots, they‘d might surprise us. Their biggest issue is giving up shots. But the more time you spend defending takes away from the offense, and is why the entire team is down in production to where they should be. imo.

Had we picked Eklund instead of McTavish, we'd have someone who could drop the gloves :sarcasm:

The willingness was there, but he got pretty manhandled by Gawdin.

This makes me miss the days when I'd look forward to the end of games we were getting blown out of because there would be a good chance of a few fights. Now we just deflate without so much of a whimper.

Root cause of this is man on man defense - chasing circles around the defensive zone with any momentary lapse in coverage or moving picks = shots generated

I thought you have to win, in order to go to Disneyland? :sarcasm:

Two RFA:
Jamie Drysdale
Simon Benoit

What sort of contracts do you guys think they will be signing?

I'd imagine Drysdale will get something like 2yr x 4m

And Benoit 3 years x 2.5m

Sound about right?

I'd say you're probably in the ballpark with the Benoit deal. Maybe closer to 2 x $2 million, though he has arbitration rights.

The Drysdale one is tougher to predict since he's been out all season and Verbeek might want to lock him up long-term.

No clue on Drysdale. His injury throws things out of whack.

I don't think there's any chance Benoit makes anywhere near that. He's a bottom pairing D, and would probably be off the depth chart entirely on a better team. I'd be shocked if he got more than $1M or $1.5M.

Drysdale is a hard one but I dont see him getting $2mil a year. it will be short term and low cost. Id imagine 2years, 3mil.

Benoit will likely be something like 3 year 2.4mil. Cant see them going higher thank like $850k a year.

Here's what everybody's currently pacing. Each column calculated individually and rounded up, so goals and assists might not equal total number of points.

Nice that Lundy is back, I hope he can get over the slump of the begining of the season.

Eakins did say that Lundy was injured early in the season and was still trying to work through it. Maybe Lundy's injury never fully recovered and he just kept working through it? Hopefully, Lundy has fully healed this time to be as dynamic as he was last year.
