Dobby was quite good yesterday really. 1st goal Damiani blew his coverage and the Moose dude made a nice shot. The goal in OT was again blown coverage and he had just made enother pretty good save to keep them in it. The Moose goalie was absolutely LIGHTS OUT. Some thoughts about the prospects:
Damiani - Invisible. I think he's busting
Bourque - EXCELLENT. Dude should have had 4 or 5 points. You can tell he knows how to keep the puck for that extra half second that allows a lane or play to open up. Most dangerous player on either team. I was also impressed how he is not afraid to work. I contrast it to when I saw Nick Robertson play in the AHL recently. Making skilled plays, but wasn't really working for it and doing alot of cheating
Karlstrom - Super impressed with him. Can muck and was making some skilled plays. This guy could play in the NHL in the right situation
Blumel - Got robbed of a goal but he wasn't terribly noticeable otherwise. He did make some real nifty plays along the boards under pressure to get control of the puck which lead to some nice passes
Back - I focused on him quite a bit. Definitely a very intelligent player and can make skilled plays. I dunno, maybe he is a Faksa replacement since we consider Faksa nothing but a 4th line C
Harley - Most disappointing player of the day. Wasn't skating, made a few unnecessary panic passes that lead to bad turnovers. Not even the delicious popcorn I was eating eased the pain of my discouragement. Thomas if you are reading this - git gud
Peterson - Honestly, he had a very good game. Again, robbed of a goal or two
Tufte - I can see why this guy probably looked so good dominating high school. He can skate, is f***ing huge and honestly made alot of good plays. His decision making probably isn't quite quick enough for the NHL, which is too bad because he has unique tools
Barber - OK not a prospect but he was good, it's the second North Star/Star I know of with the last name Barber and his moustache game is on point
Yes, I paid alot of attention to Heinola and Lucius as well. It helped I was in the Moose defensive end twice for Heinola. He didn't look bad by any means but did not blow me away. To these non-professional eyes the Moose defense in general was getting caved in alot down low so that kind of game was not flattering to him. He whined a couple times for calls but was taking some abuse. That will be worse for him when he plays in the NHL. I will say that generally speaking, he made smarter/safer plays than Harley when under pressure with the puck. Heinola was not out there shitting his pants like Harley was. Butcher was better than Harley in every aspect.Nice report! Did you notice Heinola much at all? Picks 18/19/20 of the '19 draft (Harley/Thomson/Heinola) all seem to be turning out very similar thus far as guys who will probably eventually make the NHL and peak as #4-5ish Dmen.
Him and Harley are probably not motivated down there thinking they should be with the big club. Ah well.

I’d be upset if I was Damiani. It’s not really anyone’s fault except maybe Bowness. He did everything right, looked great in his brief NHL stint, didn’t stick, and is now seeing much better prospects take all of the potential openings.
If he doesn’t get traded, he may consider something like Mascherin did.
Damiani definitely seems like a guy who would prefer to get traded at this point. I don't blame him, but man it's disappointing to see him playing poorly and eating some healthy scratches as well. You don't go from a very good AHL player to that without a reason when he should be progressing
I wonder how much of it is bad guidance from his agent? Every decision since snubbing the Panthers has been pretty strange tbhMascherin is an odd duck. He's bailed on 3 teams in 3 consecutive years, and he's not even playing right now. I'm pretty fascinated by his career choices over the last 2 years ... especially the last 6 months. I'd love to find out how Italy fell apart so fast.
Good video of Bourque. Could easily have quite a few more points with some puck luck

Thomas Harley just got a shorty.
