Wonder if the Rangers asked Nitra to have him try center..
I wold not be surprised more options if someone taking the faceoff gets replaced by the refs. I also wonder if the Rangers did that with Cuylle as well. He also has played center and for a winger is pretty good on faceoffs for someone who is not a natural center. Maybe they see Cuylle as a Goodrow replacement which I can see happening as well.

Yes you should. He had extensive knee surgery and played a lot of last year on one leg. He’s a heart and soul player, who brings a ton of grit and leadership. I expect he will get an ELC this year.
Grubbe had ACL surgery in March 2021. Recovering involves physical and mental elements. Players often having a serious injury take some time after they have recovered "physically" to feel confident in their injury recovery to play as they did before the injury. And this is on top of covid stopping games in March 2020 through the rest of the year and then his playing only five games in 2021 before he had the knee injury. His start is very encouraging and I completely agree that you should pay attention and expect an ELC after January 1.

Othmann continues to put up points, recorded an assist 51 seconds into the game tonight.
1+1 for Grubbe, up to 2-9-11 in 6. I'm highly skeptical this production will continue but it's great to see he's having a bounce-back year and is healthy. Some guys never fully recover from those knee injuries.
1 assist and got into another scrum but no fighting major just roughing at the end of the 2ed period

Small speedy guy with some skill, but he's generally a fourth line player on his Liiga team. He is currently injured and has had some issue with that. Hard to see him transitioning well to North America or the Rangers even being interested in bringing him over at this point.

Great to see Grubbe playing well. Psyched to see what he can do in the future. Has been a favorite of mine since we drafted him.

His style of game won't be predicated on him scoring a ppg in the NHL so he has a decent shot. By this I mean that if his offense doesn't translate he could develop into a nice bottom-6 player.
Yes. He is huge but surprisingly agile for his size. Not super technically sound, but getting better. He looks more like a journeyman to me, but the size and decent athleticism make him worth watching.
a good comparison is his brother in St. Louis. They play a similar game. Not sure of Maxim has played any center but they play a similar physical 2 way game.

Berard recorded the only assist on the one goal by PC in a 4-1 loss. He has a 3 game assist streak (3 assists).
