I don't know how accurate Doan's memory is here but it sounds like we had him near the top of our list. That's the takeaway.

Yeah I heard him, and I agree. He said it in a way that felt a little careless. Like it may or may not be totally accurate. No doubt it was at least top 5 based on that, though.

Morgan said recently he knows AZ had Slafkovsky #1 and that he believed Nemec was a smokescreen and Cooley was #2.

So it’s possible we got our #3 and #2 ranked guys the last two drafts. Wow.

I'm sure he's "embellishing" a little, everyone does it and it isn't uncommon. He was probably 3rd or 4th and Doan said 2nd or 3rd. No big deal...plus, I'll take Guenther, he's going to be a good one.

Guenther looks good, Maccelli looks good, Cooley from what I watched at Mullett arena was spectacular and really drove the play. He needs to work on his shot, which is the only thing other than getting stronger physically, but I'm excited w/the current crop of rookies.
