TSN carrying CHL finals. Oil Kings on tonight.

Thanks for letting me know. I was looking for the OHL finals game everywhere on my guide but TSN nor anyone was carrying it. I PVR'd the game and look forward to watching Dylan in action on the big screen :DD

I have Bell TV, whereas Rogers usually does have a variety of OHL games throughout the season on playoffs on their local affiliate channels, but I guess they don't share that with Bell. I'm surprised TSN doesn't carry more CHL games given they don't have the NHL rights anymore.

Must be injured. Zero SOG.

Or illness? I didn't watch the game I recorded yet, so I don't know. I'm sure we'll find out.

It would suck if he's injured, but if he is and it's a short term thing, and his team can win the series (they're up 2-1 now), then hopefully he'll at least be ready by the Memorial Cup.

Wondering that too and no news that I can find :(

Was going to watch the game to see Guenther and Bauer. Guenther not playing and Bauer gets tossed 5 minutes in.

I watched the 2nd period only and without any audio. He was a bit disappointing in his hustle and battle. I didn't notice him leave, if he did.

Is there a box score anywhere that shows minutes played? I couldn't find one, but saw 0 SOG which indicated he couldn't have played much of the game.

I don't think they track TOI in junior, not for public consumption anyway. Guenther was reported injured early in the 2nd period of game 3 and did not play in game 4.

Just heard on the Sportsnet Oilers Now podcast, since they also cover the Oil Kings some to extent, Bob Stauffer (host) said "I don't think Guenther is going to be able to play in the Memorial Cup based on what I saw when I saw him in the building the other night -- if he's able to come back from that, wow!"

Whatever that means. I don't know what the injury is but it sounds more than short term. Not saying it's long term (what TF do I know?) but it definitely doesn't sound like anything close to day to day.

So maybe a knee injury, but must not be a torn ligament or they would have gone straight to surgery. Could still be bad for the Oil Kings, but good for us.

Sucks for him if he gets that close to the the Mem Cup and can't play. If he doesn't, I wonder if he'll be ready play for the rescheduled 2022 WJC this summer :dunno:

A lot depends on what the Coyotes want.

He’s not under a contract yet but you can be sure Bill Armstrong has had his medical staff in on any discussion as to his condition.
