1. Guenther
2. Moser
3. Soderstrom
4. Doan
5. Jenik
6. McBain
7. Koly
8. Smith
9. Maccelli
10. Prosvetov

Would be mine. Jenik, Smith and McBain are tough. Similar skillsets, size and role. Jenik seems to have the highest ceiling, McBain seems to have the best chance of being a solid 3C for years and Smith feels like he has the highest floor.

Also hard for me to place Koly that low but I have a hard time projecting a role for him. Is he a rangy stay at home guy with great wheels and snarl? Or does he have some untapped offensive upside.

I'm probably too down on Maccelli but after a great couple initial games he really fell off the cliff. Needs a lot more pro strength and conditioning and even after that he is the type of player that needs to carve out a top 6 role or he wont be able to contribute much. Reminds me of Burakovsky or Dadanov, a player who can have some great weeks but when they aren't producing you want them off the ice. The type that if you overpay you regret.

A lot depends on what the Coyotes want.

He’s not under a contract yet but you can be sure Bill Armstrong has had his medical staff in on any discussion as to his condition.

If he's not ready to play, no one is going to take any chances. Dylan himself, nor the Yotes.

Anyone want to hazard to guess what type of chance Doan has to play on the US junior team?

Ha, didn't even see that Lipkin was also invited, I hope 1 of them makes it so that we can see either with team USA.

I couldn't even try to guess at this point. I think we need to see how the first 4-6 weeks or so of college hockey goes for all of these guys before we can make any reasonable predictions.

So which ones on the list of invitees are we picking next week? That'll make it that much more interesting!

Cooley, Doan, and Lipkin

ok, all draftees have been added...I've kept Smith & McBain on reserve so if they actually don't make the team out of Camp then I'll insert them in so we can track their progress in Tucson, although I'm fully expecting both to make the team.

Also, I'm dropping the goalies from the equation and we'll just focus on the skaters as we don't really have any top notch goalies and we can just comment on the play of Anson & Ivan. Hopefully 1 or both have breakout seasons, especially Prosvetov as this will be a "show me" year.

^Now that I've met the man in person this entire thread makes sense - in the photo i posted in the draft party thread that's him at the bar with the laptop...as one would expect.

although now that i look at the update...are the round and pick columns reversed for the new guys?

Conor Geekie is listed as invited but unable to attend for Canada WJC camp (For the winter team). No other Coyotes invited.

CapFriendly still lists Michael Karow on the Coyotes' reserve list but he finished last season playing for the Texas Stars.

Has it been made official anywhere that he won't be signed by August 15th?

Looks like an oversight - unless the Yotes signed off on it he shouldn't be playing pro hockey for anybody else.

It was an ATO but I would expect that would still require "permission" from the drafting team? :dunno:

Fedotov (Slide 4) appears to be back with Torpedo for the final year of his contract

Interesting that Guenther chose to skip the summer WJC. I don't blame him, given how he was stapled to the bench in December.
