Norris is a low end 1C IMO... but let's run with this thought experiment. Norris in his rookie season was at 17.7%. If he 'regressed' to 17.7% with the same shot numbers this year... his goals drop by 5 to 30 in 66 games (37 goal pace). Still has a 50 point in 66 game season or a 62 point pace. If you think 17% is still too high despite 40+ a season being right around there. Let's go to 15%... he'd still have 26 goals this season and paced 32 goals.

It is weird to me when stats people claim regression from high numbers, but don't actually plug in a more normalized number to see what they result would be.

Legit worried for his family though.
He should move them out ASAP if he hasn't already done so. Many of these players should see the writing on the wall with the situation and should have seen it months ago.

Scary stuff. Good thing he came over to North America when he did, hopefully the boys keep Nuke nice and inebriated, no Russia trip for him.

Karlsson is a big part of why SAN Jose sucks ... look at his salary relative to production. No sympathy and it was easy to see his best days were over and paying premium assets for him would be a mistake.

Thank God Sakic kept Ottawa’s 1st rather than acquire Karlsson at the 2019 trade deadline.

Turns out those “magic beans” I was told about turned out to be quite fruitful. Ppl here wanted to trade makar + Ottawa’s pick. Smh
I was okay trading the pick, but it had to be in a deal that made sense. Basically, if you could bring in another guy that fit into the core (same age/skill level), that would've made sense at the time.

Yea, I don't want to see Nuke going back to Russia and then getting detained because of Putin-politics.
There was a clip of him being wheeled around on a cart after game 6 talking with someone about not being able to take the cup to Russia this off-season. I sure hope he stuck around, but I imagine he ended up going back to Russia.

That’s fair. The specific trade I was referring to was karlsson for makar + Ottawa 1st.

Would have been a complete disaster one year in.

Time to get the paper clip out again. They already have it straightened out from the last couple of jabs they did.
The sad part is the vast majority of their population supports what’s happening. Gotta be impossible for families of athletes.
