Gonna tell my kids this was legendary HFAvs poster @The KingslayerMan I hope the Yotes somehow make the playoffs.
That's A LOT for a 35 year old.
Habs fans crying in their beers.
This HAS TO BE A JOKE? RIGHT?
My question is: WHY THE **** PENGUINS DID THIS?
Seriously? They had to give him that much term?
Or it was way to lower the cap-hit and LTIR him middle of it? I assume that's the deal, but then he technically earns 12 million a season..
What the hell is Penguin GM smoking? Some good stuff
Even then it's way too much moneyProbably just to lower the AAV because they won’t be competing in 6 years
Does it matter? Letang gets security and Penguins get a guy that has honestly looked like a top 10-15 defensemen the last few seasons at a severely discounted cap hit. This HAS TO BE A JOKE? RIGHT?

Pittsburgh is going for it the next 2/3 years and that'll be all she wrote for the Crosby era. Then they'll tank after that and Letang will either go on LTIR or ride it out on a bad hockey team.
It’s the way to continue with a core in a flat cap. Everyone knows Letang finishes that contract on LTIR.I get it, but that's way too much.
So he will walk away from the contract after three seasons for example? Is that possible btw? It’s the way to continue with a core in a flat cap. Everyone knows Letang finishes that contract on LTIR.
In 3 or 4 seasons he’ll have a ‘back injury’ that he can’t play throughSo he will walk away from the contract after three seasons for example? Is that possible btw?
