Honestly deserved. I doubt he wanted to injure but he needs to know better.

They probably should make excessive boarding an automatic game+hearing.

I understand its a physical game and all but thats dangerous as all hell.
For me - and that's for any players whatever their team - it should be 10 + games. And doubling each time it is happening with the same player 10-20-40- one full season + Playoffs...... MAYBE, they would learn !

They gave 40 games to Ric Nattress for smoking a joint at Junior level.....

Damn! Wish we got this much analysis from you for his first NHL goal too lol

I wonder if you swore under your breath when it happened?

I'm not outraged or anything, but I didn't think he deserved 2 games.

Oh well, it's history now and it will serve to teach him a lesson.

I hope Luff heals up well. I'm sure he thinks Slaf deserves more.

2 games is fair enough as its dangerous more than anything. The guy was off balance, but you try and avoid contact

with that said, it just falls back to NHL consistency. Andersons hit was more egregious but caused no injury so he only gets 2.

we have also seen more than 1 MTL rookie take headshots already this season, Slaf took a high hit as well as Guhle off the top of my head. Not one did the league even flich at

remember when Byron leaped 2" off the ice and got like 3 games? lol

Did you want him suspended for 3 months?

I personally think he needs more time to develop. He's doing immature stuff out there, taunting another player after a goal, cross checking someone on the back... 2 meters from the board.

1st OA picks have 9 lives in the NHL, he already burned 2 of them in a month. At this pace It wont take too long before he's shipped to AZ for a 2026 conditional 1st and future considerations.

Looks like Junior is getting feisty!

Maybe badminton is more of a sport for you to follow?

And what made the recent hit on Slafkovsky not even a penalty? Similar distace from boards. Opponent sent towards those boards.

Apparently the extra game was added after Slaf knocked a trinket off Bettman’s desk and said, “****in’ with me cuz I’m a teenager with a little bit of gold and a pager.”

Get em, Slaf!!

The hit wasn't in entirely in the back, it was more on the side of Slaf and Slaf protected himself in his fall so nothing bad happened.

In Luff's case, his knees buckled from Slaf's push in his back, but instead of rolling and protecting himself, he extended his arm and dragged Slaf with his momentum making the whole thing worst. But the Wing who went to hit Slaf in the back right after, causing Slaf to almost lose balance and slam his skate with 240 pound behind it right in Luff's stomach was the real idiot on that play. Like WTF dude are you trying to protect your teammate or kill him?
