Huh. I kind of wondered if the Jays might go after Polanco. Then I looked at his stats and realized he's been turrrible for most of the last 3 years. By the stat line he was an absolute train wreck defensively this year.
Hes been atrocious. Who's he replacing? Valera?or is it straight to Buffalo?

Just sit out the rest of the season springer. Its a lost season anyways. Get healthy. Come back in march. Hope its not 5 more seasons of this. Sucka because team is way better with him in the lineup

This might be a knee jerk reaction unpopular take. But I really think that the Jays need to consider trading Springer at some point this winter while they can still get value for him.

I think he's damaged goods and will only continue to get injured over the next 5 years of his contract as he gets older.

They said he was signed to a minor league contract so he likely goes to Buffalo to see if the coaches can sort him out a bit. Perhaps he comes up as a September call-up or maybe this is a goodwill play to see if he'll want to come back next spring and fight for a spot on the big club if they offer him a chance to work on his faults right now.

Grich should be done in Toronto after this season. He is not good.

I have to wonder if that's part of why they picked up Polanco. He wouldn't be signed for next year but he could be a head-start on a depth OF reclamation project if they dump Grichuk and need someone else to be a 4th/5th OF. Or maybe things go crazy good and he rebounds to his better form and becomes a serviceable 3rd OF. Who knows. It's a nice low-cost lottery ticket to have.

The entire offense taking a steep nosedive in August is concerning. I still think a big part of it is due to their approach, but maybe there’s more to it than that.

Losing to baltimore and detroit. Or barely beating them. Cant wait to see how this team does whem they face oakland, tampa and the yankees in september.
