We dont even know that Dubnyk has Covid right now. Rantanen went on the Covid list earlier and he never had it, he was deemed to be a close contact is all. Being added to the protocol list doesn't in any way mean you have covid.

Could be his wife or kids that have it.

Well, this is shit news to wake up to. Hopefully, he didn't give it to anyone. So JJ is going to play one of the back-to-backs and Gru the rest of the way then I imagine.

I dont get the NHL covid protocol. When a player doesn't have covid but was in contact with someone who did, that player goes on the protocol and can't play. Dubnyk tests positive, the entire team has been in contact with him, but they play.

Makes no sense at all

We all know what will happen this week. We’ll lose 2-3 guys ‘cause of Covid.

The good news is by now those who were vaccinated are significantly less likely to catch Covid from an exposure event by now, even assuming they are going to be going through a two dose procedure. Those who recently had it are also way less likely to get re-infected again right now.

Yeah I don't see what the change is here...

Saad was announced to be out 2-4 weeks on April 26th, which would mean a return roughly between May 10th to May 24th. Girard was announced to miss 2 weeks on May 2nd, which would put his time line at May 16th.

Realistically they were both done for the regular season.

It doesn’t sound like the timeline has changed at all on Girard, or Saad. If Bednar is hopeful that they can play in the final LA games, that’s good news.

Bednar initially said 2 weeks for Girard and 2-4 weeks for Saad. Today he said they’re now “day to day” and everyone is freaking out despite this great news? Some of you guys need a day off or something. Relax.

P.S. I like Scott MacDonald. He provides daily updates and gives thorough inside info on the Eagles and AHL in general. Even if he is Dater’s minion, he provides me with the exact updates I want.

So day to day is 2 to 4 weeks, 2 to 4 weeks is day to day.

Avs injury time table is as confusing as hitting puberty

Day-to-day is two words away from week-to-week, and practically means the same thing for the Avs

quit bumping this shit I'm sick of the anxiety

I'm sure this Avs injury thread is the busiest thread on HF

I legit get a heart attack every time I login and see this thread bolded with new comments. Then I come in and am like...oh, it's no big deal. But then still slowly scroll down through the thread with a nauseating sense of impending doom...just waiting for that post about [insert any player's name].

[edit...PS @Avsavsavsavsavs sorry for bumping it again.]

Never know with Avs and injuries but I think both Girard and Saad will be back before the regular season is over. Bednar sounded pretty optimistic about them.

Unfortunately, I don't know if we see Byram again this year unless more guys go out in the playoffs.
