no complaints tonight. Everything was clicking well, heck even AI had an average game, aside from those dumb turnovers lol

But god damn Josi is a beast, the way he's playing, if it continues, he definitely deserves hart imo

Best thing that could have happened was success for that line WHILE being physical, kupari had his best pro game while speeding in on forecheck and throwing weight around, byfield was there to take notes even if hes gonna take a while to soak it in

At first I was feeling pretty smug about my Jordan Spence = Spurgeon comp since others were saying Pionk but I might be wrong about that, he might end up even better…nothing this kid can’t do

Durzi has balls the size of a Toyota

Kid PP was so nice to see, love a Vilardi-Byfield-Spence-Kaliyev points line

f*** man, I don’t even know what to say, that was thoroughly enjoyable and answered ALL concerns as you see above  can’t praise everyone enough tonight, that was a full team effort, and guys going all out for each other…Andersson getting the cross check rain from Lauzon only to have Grundstrom off the top ropes was the moment I knew they weren’t gonna just roll over.

Not sure if you are familiar with Trenin, but he's a backyard baller. Dude even fought Chara last year.

Fight Card: Yakov Trenin

It's sort of like the Robyn Regehr thing...if you grow up with the first name "Yakov" you'd better learn how to fight.

Great photo. Rasmus beginning to get separation from fellow countryman star Josi...Byfield closing in.
The Byfield goal - Rasmus at full speed with a rolling puck, (with someone all over him, no less) gets it right on Byfield's stick and he buried that rolling puck.
I could watch it 10 more times...but want to see more and more of new ones, between them and Gabe too.

Obviously thrilled with all the rookies looking amazing but hopefully Kempe gets some of his swagger back as well coming out of this one. 17 games left, great time to get hot and make a big push here.

Felt like a big time changing of the guard kind of game, passing of the torch etc (even though Kopi and Quick were damn solid too).

There was a shift where Durzi and Spence were out together and there was a bit of chemistry. If one of them can play on their off side it fills a hole, saves assets theyd have to trade and makes for a really good puck moving pair. Anderson-Doughty,Bjornfot-?Clarke?,Durzi-Spence with Moverare as the 7th man opening night next year could be a thing.

What do we do with Roy and Walker?

If the trends hold up, with Vegas dropping games, Calgary being ahead comfortably, it’s likely the Kings play the oilers this playoffs

I haven't bought a jersey since Wayne Simmonds was around but this kids making a big push.

Bless his heart but he obv didn't do his research on Trenin haha. But he doesn't back down and plays with balls which is why it's great to see him make the Kings. He did it a lot in ONT and it's very awesome he's bringing that to the NHL too.

Yeah and Fabre will face or into the mix as well. It’s been a tough year on the blue line but I’ve really been impressed with Durzi and Spence. Spence had a fantastic game tonight.

I was fine with Hextall. And honestly I like Linda Cohn as well because she's just so happy to be there. Any day over Pierre McGuire.

It's funny how nbc used to use the person behind the glass on just about every other play. ESPN barely uses theirs. I can only remember hearing Cohn a few times throughout the game. Melrose is still Melrose, " he's big, he's fast , he's tough..." same mantra he always uses.

Hextall is improved, and I'm happy for her. I hope she continues to improve.

I don't think this should have been her first opportunity, though. I'm all about growing the game and providing equal opportunity, so no problem if that was the driving force - I just think there has to be a more skilled and qualified woman at doing play-by-play.
I think she was fine the couple of times I’ve listened to her and certainly not the worst play-by-play I’ve heard. People won’t admit it but a big part of it is that people aren’t used to hearing a womens voice and don’t like it simply because it’s different, being generous for most it’s probably subconscious. It’s been exactly the same with football/soccer in the uk. I’ll admit that it took me a few games to get used to the different voice type during games but it really doesn’t bother me. Good luck to her, I think some of the stick she gets is unacceptable.
