Kaliyev is playing so well. I doubt anyone even in the organization thought he would be such a complete player this soon. Hes got good size, has great vision and skill, and is going to breakthrough at some point and be a top player on the team. Hes almost there.

So true. No way would I include him in some Chychrun deal. I can still see his face on round 1 draft day as round 1 closed out and he was sitting there, with that unpleased look.
He's been on a mission ever since, every day. His 20 and 30 goal years are going to come...but he'll never be mistaken for a one-way player now. He's playing smart, physical and
good in all 3 zones. He's going to be awesome and a force.

Another solid game from Mattaa. He's been good the last while.

He really has, total brain transplant. Seems to be playing within his means a lot more, maybe grasps the system better because is moving the puck much quicker/making decisions quicker...and of course all the possession has the tendency to hide some players' defensive deficiencies (Durzi and Maatta). Regardless of the 'why' it's nice to see he's meshing rather than being the odd guy who can't fit, maybe now he feels like he doesn't have to try too hard to justify his spot or something since he's comfortable being part of the wheel.

I'm even liking Brown again*, on line 3...where he's better suited and with the 12 minutes of ice. He and Kupari and Turcotte look good together. Don't give up on Rasmus,
he's got immense skills, tremendous skating, physical and adept defensively. 8 points now, is not horrible for his amount of ice and role. Turcotte looking good at center
or left wing. He's going to score any game and even have a 2 point game. I'm not worried.

Speaking of youth, does anyone have a Durzi jersey yet? Crikey. Blows me away. I would not trade him for Muzzin...and we have Bjornfot and Grundstrom.
He looks better with the puck than any King since Lubo on the PP. So deceptive, quick feet, great moves, sick passes and can shoot the puck and get it through
or in the back of the net. When he moves in to about 40 feet, he's almost lethal. And he's only 19 games in and has 10 points.

The youth is here and more coming in waves...with 3 more in the next year or 2, that may be even the best yet: Byfield, Clarke, Chromiak. Vilardi can
still make an impact. At this rate, I see 1 or 2 going for a Chychrun or another elite piece. So be it. Just keep Quinton, Arty, Clarke, Durzi, please.
Would prefer to keep Turcotte and Chromiak too. All in all, how can anyone complain where this team is and where it's headed?

* but please, do not extend contract...about 5 young forwards are killing it, or about to kill it and need spots.

Thanks, KP! Cooler than getting your panties in a wad after a loss and incessant railing against management, amirite?

And so brave, too.

Life is so unfair to have such free-thinking ladykillers like yourself.

Anyway, good, dominant win by the Kings. Hopefully they keep it up.

An average of a +13 shot differential per game.

It was a pattern, and has been...but what was really impressive to me from that standpoint was the Nashville game but especially this game. Pens are top of most defensive metrics and we busted that AND their PK tonight. Nice to see that hold true over the homestand but against great teams as well, not just fluffing stats like the early season streak where we were clubbing a bunch of seals.

Kings have also worked their way to the top 6 in 5v5 GF%. Keep solving those special teams and there's no telling where the ceiling is. The 3 teams directly above and below: 3. Washington 4. Colorado 5. Pittsburgh 6. LAK 7. Toronto 8. TBL 9. Boston. That's phenomenal company.

I think Foxy mentioned this early in the 1st, pretty cool to see.

Leah Hextall, on the other hand... :thumbd:

It's nice that a lady has the chance to do play by play I'm all in for that but my goodness she's just un-everything. Hopefully one day there will be one that isn't so horrific.

The Matt Roy effect is real.

I’m going to go to bed tonight with this game in the front of my mind. I can already predict what my dreams will be like:

Luc Robitaille will be standing at a podium addressing Kings fans and media…suddenly he peels a thick layer of rubber latex off his face…revealing Dean Lombardi. “It was me all along!”

Careful. You might upset some people who think you can't say anything bad against management.

Then you'll incur their wrath when the Kings score another powerplay goal.

I'm sure I'll be accused of being a blind homer again soon, bringing this whole thing full circle. Can't wait

honestly I know TMac gets alot of hate, but could we have done this without his system? I think the minority of Tmac haters are annoying and pessimistic lmfao

That was a fun game.

After that 90 second surge of goals each time Jarry would make a simple save the crowd gave him sarcastic cheer and MPV chants.

Its great to have meaningful games again this season.

He's definitely getting the players to play better, and they see the result.

Like him as a coach and person, even if I disagree with some decisions. I truly want him to succeed.

Why you so salty lmfao?

People who use a game/short era of success to mock people's thoughtful attempts to engage and discuss hockey are detrimental to having actual discussion.

Especially when they act like criticisms are unfounded.
