Came to post exactly that and to say that of all of them, this was the biggest statement game yet.

The all out response to the tying goal was exactly what we needed to see from this team. Instead of getting tentative, wondering what if, they went out and took the game, an encouraging trend over this whole homestand. Have to see how it goes on the road now, especially vs. a depth team in Seattle and a rival in SJ.

But not gonna microanalyze any negativity tonight, that was the most glued I've been to my TV in years, hell I might go watch it again right now

The 2nd line was insane but Danault really did a number on Malkin all night. Funny to see malkin just sort of give up instead of take runs for once...Danault takes souls.

There were a few shifts there where Kaliyev was all over the ice, I thought he was the 4C, just took over for a bit.

Fagemo looked like he belonged, can see why people thought he was gonna make the team last season, just such an NHL-friendly game.

Lately I have been reading comments from opposing teams and what they most had in common was that if their powerplay wasn't clicking they were screwed. Now our PP sucks but I rather be great on 5 on 5 than great on the PP.

Kaliyev is playing so well. I doubt anyone even in the organization thought he would be such a complete player this soon. Hes got good size, has great vision and skill, and is going to breakthrough at some point and be a top player on the team. Hes almost there.
